So last year, Sarah and I disobeyed orders and tried to find my Dad when he was kidnapped by Fulcrum. Casey was assigned to bring us back in and it lead to a stand off between Sarah and Casey, in which they both had a gun pointed at each other.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. These two people that I trusted could possibly kill each other. I was told to sit in the car, but I couldn't just sit there. I stood up and yelled out, "Guys! Guys! We are a team!"

And neither Casey nor Sarah takes their eyes off each other while they bark back at me, in unison, "Stay in the car!"

My interruption didn't do a damn thing. It didn't make either of them pause to think about what I was trying to say. To remember we used to be all on the same side!

They probably could have stood there for hours, but the standoff was cut short a moment later when one of Fulcrum's men jumped up, and both Casey and Sarah fired. The assailant was brought down by their bullets but that revealed Sarah's gun was now out of ammo.

Casey had won.

One long drive back to who knows where was ahead of us, leaving me to wonder who I could really trust.

Of course it all ended up working out. We became a team again and my father was rescued but that's a story for another day.

My full name is Charles Irving Bartowski. I go by Chuck though. And Chuck is short for Charles.

Nothing exciting, I know.

[Locked to those who know of his secret life]

My alias is Charles Carmichael. It was a name I sorta thought up on a whim. Sarah had asked that I come up with a name to use on a spy mission and that's what came into my head. I pictured Charles to be this successful software mogul who sailed in America's Cup. No idea what was up with the racing thing. I guess it's just something I figured rich people do.

The spy name actually lasted for several missions. I even was called 'Agent Carmichael' on more than one occasion.

For now though, I've retired that spy persona. No more Agent Carmichael. Just ordinary Chuck Bartowski again. [/locked]

But after what I found? This spy may come out of retirement. [/Private]

I can recite all of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Now...depending on whether or not you like sci-fi stuff...that fact is either really geeky or really cool.

For most people? It's just geeky. And weird. But I definitely don't randomly start reciting the whole movie and start acting it out or anything. No, no random cosplay moments for me. But if someone asks me to recite the movie (well, usually, when I'm asked, it's just a particular scene) then I'll recite it. (Most often, when I'm asked, it's some scene where Kirk exclaims, "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!")

If I'm reciting a scene, I may move around a bit for effect.

But not in costume.

Unless I'm at Comic Con or a sci-fi convention and happen to be wearing a Star Trek costume. But that's a rare occurrence.

Okay...this is one random entry, isn't it? Hopefully my next one will make more sense.

I am both orderly and instinctive. I value community and group identity, defining myself by the social group I am a part of. At best, I'm selfless and strong-willed; at worst, I'm unoriginal and mindless.

You are The Magician

Skill, wisdom, adaptation. Craft, cunning, depending on dignity.

Eleoquent and charismatic both verbally and in writing,
you are clever, witty, inventive and persuasive.

The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud. Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is represented by Mercury. He represents the gift of tongues, a smooth talker, a salesman. Also clever with the slight of hand and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.

With the new version of The Intersect, I can be good at anything for a short amount of time. Mostly, the skills flashes are for fighting moves, but I can use the skills flashes to be able to play a guitar or speak another language.

There's a drawback though. Actually two. Maybe three.

One is the previously mentioned fact that I only temporarily have these skills. If I want to use them again, I have to flash again.

And two...well, if I get too nervous or and can't focus, I can't flash. So even though I could potentially have a needed skill in my brain, I might not be able to access it.

The third? The new Intersect is causing me to have some weirdly vivid dreams. It's like flashing in my sleep. But the problem is, the messages get a little muddled together. I had a couple and I was thought to have gone crazy. It turned out that I wasn't crazy then though. But I could slowly go crazy someday.

My Dad says there may be a way to fix the Intersect that will help take some of the stress off my brain.

I sure hope so...

Your Attention Span is Medium

Your attention span is just about average.

You may think that you have a short attention span...

But being distracted is something most people struggle with.

The most important thing is that you're aware that your mind wanders.

If you find yourself daydreaming, you can usually snap out of it.

It may be tough to concentrate at times, but you can do it... if you want to!

[Locked to those who know of his secret life]

It was almost three years ago that I became The Intersect. Back then, I had no idea how to be a spy. I was always getting in trouble, nearly getting shot, killed and getting into all sorts of trouble. I was only taken on these missions because of the The Intersect. My job was to go in, flash on the bad guy and get out before I got myself killed.

Of course, most of the the time, I screwed up and got caught or something happened to either Sarah or Casey and I tried to go back to save either or both of them. My heart was always in the right place, even if I didn't always have a plan thought out.

As time went on, I learned more and more about being a real spy. And now with the new Intersect in my head, I can flash in ways that give me special skills needed for a mission.

I was taught how to work on my own. But I don't want to be a solo spy. I want to stay with Sarah and Casey.

Of course, Casey's no longer a spy and Sarah...well, I dunno if she quite trusts me anymore since she thinks I killed someone. (I didn't, but I made a promise to keep that truth a secret.)

I don't really know what to do. I finally became a real spy. I finally am somebody. move on, I have to leave everyone behind. Not just Sarah and Casey but Ellie and Morgan too. I'd be half a world away in Rome. And while it sounds exciting going on missions posing as someone who clearly is living a life of luxury...I don't know if it would be worth it to do all that away from everyone I care about.

You aren't violent in the least, but you will stand up and fight for what you believe in. You pick your battles carefully.

You are precise and competent. You don't make many mistakes, even though you move quickly.

I think it's about time someone started working on the hoverboard.

Remember Back to the Future, Part II when Marty is using this floating skateboard like thing? It looked really cool, I thought. And the year that he time travels to in that movie is 2015. That's only five years away now.

For fiction to meet reality, someone has to start working on the hoverboard so we have it for the actual 2015. It shouldn't be all that hard. We already have hovercrafts. And a hoverboard doesn't go all that high that it would be a real safety issue if someone fell off. It just hovers a little higher off the ground than a skateboard is raised up by its wheels.

So c'mon inventors. Get working on that hoverboard!

(Okay, I honestly know Back to the Future was just a movie. And no, I'm really not one of those people that thinks that life really has to imitate the movies. But I still think a hoverboard would be fun.)

I never was one of the cool kids. Bryce on the other hand? Yeah, he fit that profile. He was the good looking guy who could have any girl he wanted. (And for awhile, I thought one of those girls was Jill, but she finally confessed that was a lie.)

Despite being that cool guy, Bryce did have some geeky interests. He could speak Klingon, he actually liked the old school computer games like Zork, and he knew about Everquest! I thought it was kinda strange a guy like him would be likely to hang around with a guy like me. But we did get along...until that whole accusing me of cheating thing. (Luckily, that matter was settled somehow so I did get to graduate, but I digress...)

So, yeah. Bryce was the cool one.

[Locked to those who know of his secret life.]

He was a real spy too. Maybe he was really training me all those years. Maybe those games of running around the library with suction cup guns was really just a spy training game. And maybe he learned about Zork just to make up the puzzle to protect the Intersect until I opened the file.

Still, despite some of the things he put me through, I miss him now. And now, I get what he was really trying to do - prepare me for this life once he realized I was kinda destined to become part of it. He at first tried to keep me away but then entrusted me with the Intersect. He knew I'd be able to use it and would do the right thing with it. [/locked]
