TM #210 - Crystal Ball
Dec. 30th, 2007 11:24 pmIf a crystal ball could tell you the truth about any one thing you wished ~ concerning yourself, your life, the future, or anything else ~ what would you want to know?
"Morgan, this is stupid," Chuck said to his friend and they both stood outside the fortune teller's tent at the Renaissance Faire. "Why would I go see a fortune teller?"
Morgan shrugged. "I dunno. Dude...come on. She says she can answer any question, right?"
"Yeah..."
"Well, you have to have some burning questions, right?"
Chuck glared at him. More than you'll probably ever know, he thought to himself. Instead he replied, "It'll probably be a waste of money, but if I go in, so do you. Deal?"
"Deal, bro."
The fortune teller was dressed in a rather over the top gypsy outfit. She wore brightly colored sashes around her waist, a white puffy blouse and massive golden hoop earrings.
"Oh you wish to know your future?," began the fortune teller in a raspy voice, "Ask anything of Madame Estacia and I shall gaze into your future...for a little fee."
He looked at Morgan who took out his wallet.
"Ah, both of you then?"
Chuck and Morgan nodded and both of them paid the fortune teller.
( Morgan offered to go first )
