TM #203 - Intrigue
'Intrigue' is a word they almost always use to describe the spy world, you know? People living double lives all the time. Not knowing what each day will bring...or who to trust...
Yeah, I watch lots of Bond movies if you haven't guessed.
Doesn't that sort of life look so great when you're watching those? I mean, I know when I watched them, I wondered what I would give to live a dangerous life like that...
You know, something great....unlike my current job at the Buy More...

Well, I sorta now live that life of intrigue and I've learned something. I mean, other than the fact I'm no James Bond.
It may all seem cool, but even with the whole 'oh my God I'm gonna die!' moments aside...
People you are close with, you have to lie to all the time. They may not be able to count on you.
It's bad enough Dad wasn't around much and Mom decided to leave us. I mean, I'm all the family Ellie's got left. (Unless she marries Captain Awesome and....okay the thought of Awesome spawning just kinda freaked me out....)
Point is, I kinda thought we'd always be there for each other, you know? And she's still there for me.
But I can't always be there for her.
I guess I learned what I really had to give up to live a fascinating, intriguing life, huh?
