Comic-Con (open RP)

The San Diego convention center was filled with all sorts of exhibits, panels and vendors selling all sorts of collectibles. There seemed to be so much to do and tons of events worth seeing.

"I'm finally here," Chuck commented out loud to no one in particular.

Hiro is now blushing. "Arigato, Mr. Isaac." He bows again. "When is your panel?"

"I'm not a big enough draw to get my own panel," he shrugs, a little annoyed, but hey, it was Comic Con, "So I'm just kind of hanging out here I guess. At least I got in for free."

"You should be in one of the panels. There is one for independent artists in Room 2 at 11. Perhaps you should let them know you are here."

Tommy grinned at their amazement, turning his head to the side to look at them with a smile. The more he did his thing in public, the more he was enjoying those reactions, and not just for the usual reasons. He was starting to wonder if there was a real future for him as a performer...

"G'head and check it out of you want." he offered, making a show of folding his arms under his head casually. "Under, over, side to side...five bucks if you find where I'm hiding the wires." Of course, there were none, so he was safe...but that fact only made the "trick" better.

Chuck looks around Tommy and even puts his hand out slightly to see if he can feel a wire that he couldn't see. After a moment of doing so, he shakes his head. "I couldn't find any at all."

Sarah scanned the crowd for Chuck. She couldn't believe she was here, since she swore quite some time ago not to be this close to this many...people dressed up like zombies and aliens. On the bright side, at least it wasn't the premiere of that Star Wars cartoon.

She made her way through the crowd trying to find Chuck, he had to be there somewhere, right?

Chuck glances around the room and sees a familiar face in the crowd. He smiles and waves Sarah over to come join him and his friends.

"Pffft...please, they're all much more interested in the Slave Girl Leia we saw coming in." Terry teased, stealing a kiss of her own as she walked backwards so she wouldn't have to leave the circle of his arms. "More skin, less with the elbows and stepping on feet to get through the crowd. I actually think I spiked one dude's instep. Serves him right, little Jabba in training was cramping my style."

Nick laughed at that. "Yeah, I think I'd have t' club them away if ya wore that one." Looking around, Nick frowned faintly. "D' ya have any idea where anythin' is?" He asked with a laugh.

Sarah walks over by Chuck still looking around observing as many people as she can in the room. "So this is Comic-Con, huh?"

Hiro looks around for the wires. "There are none.." He really sounds amazed. "You have a...talent." There's a significance to how he says the word. He's not sure what it is, but he definitely is displaying skills that may be similar to Hiro's own.

Chuck nods, grinning ear to ear. "I got to go last year too and Hiro and I were really looking forward to going this year for quite awhile now."

He looks around a bit, noticing some of the overeager fans nearby. "Not everyone is quite as...um...well, 'out there' as some folks." He motions towards a couple of these fans as he says this.

Chuck then pulls out a copy of his Comic-Con schedule. "Say...uh, did you maybe...I dunno, wanna see something in particular while you were here? There's some movie screenings and show panels and stuff in addition to the comic book stuff. Hiro, Jack and I are going to head to the Gene Roddenberry project panel next and Jack wants to see the Superman one later today."

As he hands the schedule to Sarah, he jokes, "Maybe something Star Wars related?" remembering Sarah's Halloween costume.

"That cartoon bothers me...I mean why couldn't George Lucas just leave well enough alone?" Sarah asks completely seriously, then really hoped Casey didn't decide to listen in on them today. she'd never hear the end of it if he did. "That might be good though, a panel could convince me to go see it."

Chuck seems a bit surprised by Sarah's serious comment on Star Wars and a pleased grin appears. "It kinda looks cool but at the same time the characters look like N64 graphics. I...guess they did this movie cuz fans kinda complained Episode II sorta...well, sucked," Chuck replied with a shrug.

He glances at the schedule and comments, "All of Friday is a Star Wars day. There's a panel about the new movie from 4-5 then called 'The Saga Continues: Star Wars 2008' with some previews and Q & A then."

Grinning, Tommy closed his eyes again and concentrated on tilting back up again until his feet were back on the floor and he was vertical once again.

"It's something I've been working on...I guess you could say I'm a magician in training." he explained to Chuck with a broad smile, glancing at Hiro when he mentioned a 'talent' with...an awareness that nagged at him. Nodding to Hiro in agreement, he spread his hands as he accepted his bag back from Chuck. "In a manner of speaking, I guess I do."

"Episode two did suck....don't get me started on the 'love' scenes" Sarah said with a small smirk. "How about the one from 4-5?"

"You don't seem like you need training. You definitely have talent!" Chuck replies, quite impressed.

Hiro claps as he lands. "That is wonderful!" He nods significantly to Tommy's nod. He's looking around for an area where they can talk without too many people hanging around.

Chuck snickers and then in a near monotone voice quotes the 'You love me? I thought we had decided not to fall in love.' line.

Then composing himself, he circles the 'Star Wars 2008' panel on his schedule. "We'll definitely go see that one, yeah."

Blushing at Chuck's praise, Tommy gave him a nod of his head in thanks. "Seriously, you're far too kind." he insisted with a grin. "I'm just starting out, but...y'know, I feel like I kinda got my legs solid under me."

Catching Hiro's look, Tommy raised a curious eyebrow, realizing he was looking for something. At least, that's what it seemed like...

"So, uh...where you guys headed?" he asked after a moment, smiling pleasantly. "I just got in a while ago, so I'm kinda looking to see what I can see before I have to head back to Hollywood tonight. Maybe we can cruise the vendors together or something, talk some more."
