Halloween Party (open RP)

Chuck donned his ren faire ruffled shirt and vest once again. Although he would eventually break into the Sandworm costume, he thought to have something costume-ish on in the meantime.

The courtyard outside Chuck and Ellie's apartment was decorated with Halloween lights and spooky decorations. Music played as costumed guests mingled with one another while a couple were helping themselves to the snacks and punch set up on a table at the edge of the courtyard.

"So do I, makes me feel a little less alone in general. I just hope they are nice, not like those evil ones like in Independence Day."

"Is this what you wore when you were enlisted?" Raising an eyebrow she went up on her toes and picked up his dog tags studying them intently.

"I hope so too. Cuz aliens like that...are pretty scary. Speaking of that movie though, there's a character in it that I think kinda looks like Casey."

"I'm not looking forward to fighting off any alien over lords, I just don't have the time." She told him frankly, and then laughed. "Lets face it, everyone looks like Casey. I don't even remember the characters so that was just a lucky conscience."

Chuck laughed too. "Yeah really. Who does though?"

He then shrugged. "It may just be since the character is a Major too. He wasn't in too much of the movie though but he like shoots an alien through the glass and stuff."

"This is true, in todays busy, hectic world. With work and school and family, does anyone have time to be enslaved by an alien race? Maybe it would be a vacation!"

Now that's a thought. "He's got one of those faces, huh?"

She gave him a curious look, "and the other times?"

"Maybe. It would be interesting to call into work saying you couldn't come in cuz you were captured by an alien overlord." He then snickered.

"Well, it's not like I see him in everything or anything. Just as Jayne from 'Firefly' and this Major Mitchell guy in 'Independence Day.'"

"So what is your sister going to show up as? What about Morgan?"

"I can see it now. 'Yeah, sorry, can't come in, uh I'm actually being cleaned and tagged before being released in the mines. Uhhh no don't think I am going to be in tomorrow either. . .'"

Laughing she ended up coughing behind her hand. "I still haven't seen 'Firefly.'"

"Ah that's right, John Casey secret agent man. You haven't ever climbed down a sheet to escape, have you?"

Chuck laughed. "Yeah...sorry sir...but uh...they said I'd be here forever so...um...sorry?"

"It was a pretty fun show. I enjoyed it."

"Morgan will bring the Sandworm costume and Ellie said she's going to surprise me this year."

ooc: Ellie!mun said she'd be dropping by sometime this week but...I dunno if she forgot...

And I haven't found Morgan!mun but, I mean, it's traditional that Chuck and Morgan don the Sandworm costume at some point...

"Secret agent?" Casey raised an eyebrow. He had to cover quickly. "There's a difference between being an agent and serving in the military." Of course, that much wasn't a lie. "And no, can't say I have."

"You too!" She kisses his cheek once more for luck, then twiddles her fingers as she heads through the crowd.

"Yeah. She said she was running a bit late tonight."

Hiro's arms go around her waist. "I am supposed to be Jay, but it would make more sense if I were Kay. But Ando wanted the big gun." He moves easily with the slow music, although every once in a while, he makes sure he's not stepping on her toes by looking down.

"Hopefully it is not a big emergency. That would be bad. Are you going to do the sandworm after she gets here?"

"I hope not either. But yeah, we'll definitely have to bring out the Sandworm costume after she gets here."

Chuck gave her a sympathetic smile. "Hey, not only did you take on someone that bullied you, you were crowned reunion queen. And Mark said Heather really wanted to be that."

He then glanced down at himself and gave a slightly sheepish grin. "You do? Thanks. Kinda...something I had for a ren faire but...thought it would be good to wear until Morgan showed up."
