My father just gave me one of his looks.
What's wrong with wanting a light cycle? They're really cool.
My father was never interested in any kind of fantasy. I suppose it was the nature of his ability.
Or...maybe it just never appealed to him anyways?
Probably very true. He always thought my head lived in the clouds.
I still say there's nothing wrong with escapism through sci-fi and fantasy.
Me as well, but my father just was not fond of that kind of thing.

Oh he did. He loved sci-fi too. He bought me the Tron poster I have in my room.
That is great! At least he understood where you were coming from.
Yeah. That's why I never wanted to take it down. Even when Ellie said I was too old to have it in my room.
Older sisters do not understand these things.
Yeah. I mean, it's more than just sci-fi fandom love with that poster. It has sentimental value.
She seemed very upset about your father. Perhaps she was trying to get you to "let go". I am glad that they got to see each other again.
It's possible. She thought we'd never see him again.
Much as I will never see my father again (unless I go back in time), at least I knew what had happened.
Sometimes I wish I could go back to see my Dad. I mean, I know why he disappeared but I wish I could get back all the years that he was away.
I would do that for you, but it would probably change a great deal that you cannot afford to have changed.
*sighs* I know. Given all the things my Dad was involved with, I probably would have been in danger. And maybe I'd have been brought into the spy game earlier and never met Sarah or Casey.

And you would be a very different spy than you are right now.
I hope you do not mind if I say I am not certain I would want to know that man. Sarah, at least, loves you as you are and does not want you to be a cold spy.
