Hi Rachel!

81. How do you deal with stress?

Depends. Sometimes I can get a bit frustrated and just want to stay in bed or something. Other times, I'll play video games to get my mind off of things.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hi, Human Resources Recruiter!

Just kidding.

I uh...don't really know. But I definitely gotta move on with things. I mean...I can't stay in this role at the Buy More forever...

10. Are you right- or left-handed?

Right.

73. What is your favorite food?

Well, pizza is always good.

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?

I don't smoke or use drugs. On occasion I have a drink or two, but nothing major. Just a glass of champagne with special dinners, the occasional beer. That sorta thing.

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?

Video games, watching sci-fi movies and reading.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.

Tough one. I guess I would spend time with everyone close to me, you know? If others were gonna die in addition to me, I'd try to save them first though. Just how I am, I guess.

What else? You know...I have no idea.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?

I do get annoyed with some of the guys taking videos of lady customers cleavage and such. Especially when they broadcast such shots on the big screen TVs in the store.

Makes me sound like a bit of a prude, huh?

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?

Nope. I still live with my sister.

Would I? Maybe someday.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?

You know...I thought of dittoing Connie's answer to this about not wanting my mother to leave. But...still part of me goes back to that whole getting kicked outta Stanford thing. I wish that never happened.

Pizza is awesome. Seriously.

They actually do that kinda thing at your store? Dude. That's so wrong.

I didn't know that you'd been at Stanford. Or that your mom left. Sorry.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
It is, isn't it? *grins*

Yeah...I caught Jeff and Lester taking cleavage shots on a camcorder. They actually didn't broadcast them, come to think of it. But Morgan did broadcast some lady's thong on the big screens.

And buddy, if you're reading - yes, you did!

Yeah, I was at Stanford for three years and, well...*sighs* Someone who I thought was my friend accused me of cheating on an exam and selling the test's answer key. It was a complete lie, but the professor believed him and I got expelled.

And hey, it's okay. I mean, nothing you can do about the past, right?

I uh, didn't mean to depress you or anything...
gotbottle: (Default)

[personal profile] gotbottle 2008-03-26 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, my gosh. Someone needs to smack them. Seriously.

Also in need of a smacking? Whoever lied about you and got you tossed out. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Depressed? I'm not... Oh. Oh. No, it's... I kinda have a soft spot about people losing their parents. My dad passed away when I was little. So... I can sympathize. It's always sad to hear stuff like that.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, somebody does.

Well...with Bryce...the guy that lied? He died actually. So, um...I guess, life smacked him. Sorta. Sorta, cuz he's not really dead but I can't tell anyone that.

Oh, oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't know that about your dad.
gotbottle: (Default)

[personal profile] gotbottle 2008-03-26 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Yeah. I guess he did kinda get smacked, there.

Thank you, Chuck. It's okay, though. It was a long time ago, now.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
*nods*

Still, that's rough.
gotbottle: (hair tuck)

[personal profile] gotbottle 2008-03-26 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Though sometimes I think it was a blessing in disguise that it happened when I was so young. I mean, if it had to happen at all, better that it did when I was so little and didn't have all those memories.

Geez. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for the conversation to turn so morbid.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess...but at the same time, you didn't get to know him too well.

It's...okay. I mean, with questions like these, they're just likely to bring up rough stuff from the past, you know?

So! Let's see...something more cheerful...uh, see any good movies lately? *sheepishly grins*
gotbottle: (farrah)

[personal profile] gotbottle 2008-03-26 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I guess tough subjects come with the territory for stuff like this.

Good movies? Hmm. I watched "Hollywoodland" the other day. It was about the death of George Reeves, the old Superman on TV. I liked it. It was well done.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. *nods*

Oh yeah...I heard about that one. I haven't seen it though but maybe I'll check it out. *smiles*

As I said on your journal, I saw Vantage Point. That one's pretty good too. Holds your interest, I thought.
gotbottle: (fresh faced smile)

[personal profile] gotbottle 2008-03-27 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I'll have to check that one out. Thanks, Chuck!

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?

My sister Ellie and I were always close and we still are. My Dad was never around much and, well...when our mother left, that was kinda rough.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?

I think I still have them. Kinda lost in my own world at times...would random entertain myself with stuff that interested me.

34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?

Nope.

39. What is your worst memory?

Nearly losing Ellie. When she was poisoned, I seriously lost it.

42. What are your religious views?

I don't attend regular services or anything. Agnostic, I guess.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?

Ellie, Sarah, Morgan, Captain Awesome...maybe some of the folks at the Buy More.

You have no idea how close I was to finding out.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?

In social situations? Not really. I kinda hang around at a party. At work I do though.

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?

Plans are good to have, but I can think on my feet at times. Sometimes come up with creative solutions on the fly.

85. What is your greatest strength as a person?

Um...yeah good question. *shrugs* I guess that I try to do what's right?

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?

Well, Rachel already got this one, so I'm gonna do the cut and paste thing...

I do get annoyed with some of the guys taking videos of lady customers cleavage and such. Especially when they broadcast such shots on the big screen TVs in the store.

Makes me sound like a bit of a prude, huh?

44. What are your views on sex?

And we get right into the personal stuff...

I just...you know, some guys seem to feel as though they can't function without it. It's not that I'd exactly want it completely absent from my life, but at the same time, it's not something I'd just rush into, you know?

When I dated a girl named Lou, I did have a fleeting moment of just wanting to do it with her. I mean...it had been awhile since Jill and I...and Lou and I had sorta just made out in my car when I thought of it.

78. What makes you laugh?

Comedy wise? I dunno...sometimes goofy discussions.

I tend to laugh when I'm nervous though...a bit of a tic of mine.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?

Tara already got this one so I'm doing the cut and paste thing again...

I think I still have them. Kinda lost in my own world at times...would random entertain myself with stuff that interested me.

18. Did you enjoy school?

Overall? Yes.

The obvious exception being the whole getting kicked outta Stanford thing.

43. What are your political views?

Well, my sorta disposition puts more on the left side of politics than the right. Nowadays, the right is a bit more upper scale or really religious or both. I fit neither.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?

My first serious relationship was with Jill and it was with her back when I was in college.

ooc: I'm gonna guess it was Jill anyway. *g*

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.

You're making this easier on me Hiro. This is the third answer I could cut and paste. *laughs* Rachel already got this one too.

Tough one. I guess I would spend time with everyone close to me, you know? If others were gonna die in addition to me, I'd try to save them first though. Just how I am, I guess.

What else? You know...I have no idea.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.

Skill set wise or what? I mean...I'm a good listener and can be supportive and stuff. But skill set wise, I can fix computers.

Bad at? Um...well...

I'm socially awkward. I tend to panic under pressure.

And...uh, thanks to Captain Awesome, I tango like a girl.

98. What three words best describe your personality?

Shy, loyal and resourceful.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
And...uh, thanks to Captain Awesome, I tango like a girl.

Should I ask why?

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
I asked him to teach me how to tango. He taught me the girl's part so that's the only part of the dance I know.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Did you have to dance with a man?

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I wanted to learn how to tango for a date with Sarah. So I asked Awesome to teach me. But he didn't teach me the right part of the dance. He taught he the girl's part.

And...I didn't get to dance with Sarah. I danced with another lady. And uh, she had to lead. It was...kinda embarrassing.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
She really got into it. I mean...at one point she even grabbed my ass...

So uh, I guess?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
I would say it was a success! Was she very pretty?

Locked

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. But it turned out she was a dangerous arms dealer!

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no! That is bad!

She did not hurt you, did she?

Re: Locked

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
She tied me up and threw a knife at me. Luckily she missed - on purpose, I think. She wanted to scare me at first. And then she was gonna have me thrown out a window and then...she was gonna shoot me!

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
I would have been scared! Knives and getting thrown out a window? This is not a good dance!

Re: Locked

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Well all that happened afterwards. She thought I knew something about the painting she wanted to steal or maybe she was gonna buy it. I dunno. But anyway, she thought I knew something cuz I commented on the frame looking different.

And then it just got all scary from there...

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
It sounds very scary. If I had been there, I would have made certain she did not grab you.

Re: Locked

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish you were buddy. But luckily Casey and Sarah arrived just in time.

Re: Locked

That is good. Were they decoyed away?

Re: Locked

More like came in guns blazing, actually!

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
You did not get hurt, right? No one shot you?

Re: Locked

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I didn't get shot, but some of the bullets seemed awfully close.

*shivers, thinking about it*

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Any bullets closer than a mile are too close! At least my power lets me get away from them.

Re: Locked

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
True. You could either disappear or freeze time and stop the bullets in mid flight or something.

*ponders* Which...is kinda Matrixy...

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
I have done that. Made it go very slow but it still hit Ando. That was when I was losing my power.

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
It got him in the arm. I told him to go back to Japan because I was afraid he would possibly get killed. I could not have lived with that! But he did not. He got to Mr. Linderman's even before I did. Of course, he had the car and I took the bus.

Re: Locked

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Poor Ando.

So...uh...who's this Linderman guy?

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
He had Kensei's sword. I needed it to "get my mojo back", I believe was how it was said. I thought it was in New York, but it was in Las Vegas. I have driven to many places in America.

Re: Locked

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-03-29 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
And once you got the sword, did it help bring your power back?

Re: Locked

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-03-29 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
*Hiro nods.* We teleported out of Mr. Linderman's archive, but we ended up in the bad future.

42. What are your religious views?

Tara already got this one so cut and paste time...

I don't attend regular services or anything. Agnostic, I guess.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?

Not really. Like when Ellie invited a bunch of people for my birthday party? I kinda spent a lot of time hiding in my room.

Of course...Ellie was trying to set me up on a blind date which was...kinda awkward.

I'm just...not the greatest in a group of strangers. I'm kinda shy.

69. Do you care what others think of you?

I care what certain people think of me, yeah. I kinda take their opinions to heart. Like if Ellie's concerned about how I am or whatever once in awhile.

Overall? I don't go outta my way to be Mr. Popular or anything.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?

Yeah, I won't stop myself from stopping someone who is about to do something that could get them hurt. I'm stubborn like that, even if I may end up getting hurt too. I can't wonder what might have happened if I decided to act. I couldn't live with any sorta guilt like that.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?

Introverted.

98. What three words best describe your personality?

Hiro already asked me that one. Cut and paste again. *grins*

Shy, loyal and resourceful.

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?

And Rachel asked me this one so... *presses ctrl-c and ctrl-v respectively*

Nope. I still live with my sister.

Would I? Maybe someday.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Um. Hmm.

I guess it was when Ellie and I sorta learned how to take care of ourselves.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?

No. And some of my friends are still the same. Morgan and I have known each other for quite some time.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?

Torture and kill people for pure sport. I mean...sometimes things happen and sometimes you gotta defend yourself. But I mean...enjoying killing people...um...that's just...kinda wrong.
