"Oh, then we will both experience it for the first time." He's grinning. This sounds like so much fun. He's practically bouncing his way over to the hotel. He's trying not to use his ability.

Chuck nodded. "There two attractions there. One's the Klingon Encounter and the other's the Borg Invasion. We definitely gotta see both while we're here."

And hopefully we're not gone all that long...long enough for, you know, someone to wonder why my GPS in my watch has me located in Vegas...

"Which should we do first?" He's torn. Klingons or Borg first?

"The Klingon one is older. Maybe we could do that one first....like kinda see this whole thing in the order the attractions were built?" Chuck suggested.

"That is an excellent idea." He walks with Chuck over to the Klingon attraction. "I never knew this was here. I had not heard of it."

After buying their tickets for the two attractions, Chuck and Hiro wait in line for their turn on the Klingon Encounter.

"I forgot how I heard about it actually. I think I saw something on TV about it, but I'm not sure."

ooc: Have you been on either of these? The Klingon starts out really neat. Basically, you're in a room and you look like you're all in rows to go into a motion ride. Then it goes dark for a second and you hear something in the distance followed by the transporter sound effect. And then the room brightens and you're in what looks like the transporter room. There's 2 people in Star Trek outfits manning the controls and then they say there's an incoming message...I think it was from Riker. And he says he brought you here since there was a Klingon after one person in the group of people going on the ride. And one of these people is supposedly Picard's ancestor. So to protect the ancestor, you're going to have to head out in a shuttle/time machine thing. Then you go on a motion ride.

"I am glad that you heard of it. I would not miss this for the world! And I am glad that you are here with me."

OOC: I've never been in Vegas in my life. Haven't been to too many places west of the ol' MS. Been pretty much everywhere east of it. Except Indiana. Don't know why Indiana got left out.

"Me too," Chuck replies with a smile.

The doors to the attraction open and a small group of people is let inside, including Hiro and Chuck. A worker has everyone line up in smaller rows saying they'll be seated shortly. Suddenly, there are noises in the distance and everything goes dark for a moment.

ooc: From what I've seen of Indiana riding through on my way to Wisconsin? You didn't miss anything. *g*

Hiro really hopes this is part of the ride. Chuck feels Hiro's hand on his shoulder, just in case they have to get out fast.

OOC: I need to see more places west of the ol' MS. Even seen the Mississippi pretty close. Both in New Orleans and Carville, LA.

There's a familiar noise all of sudden...that of the transporter. The lights come back on and suddenly, they're in the transporter room on the Enterprise!

"This is even cooler than I expected," Chuck comments out loud.

Two crew members are working the transporter. "Welcome aboard," one of them says. "Please stand by for a message from Commander Riker."

"Wow," is all Hiro can say. He knows it's all done by effects, but still it's just as Chuck says. Now that he's sure that it's all started, the hand comes off of Chuck's shoulder, though Hiro still sticks pretty close to him.

Chuck and Hiro watch as Commander Riker appeared on a screen across from them. He explained that Korath, a rouge Klingon, has traveled to the past and was attempting to kidnap Captain Picard's ancestor.

And apparently that ancestor is one of the people recently beamed aboard.

Everyone seemed to look at one another, somewhat surprised.

Chuck turned towards Hiro and whispered, "I don't think I'm the ancestor." He then shook his head, grinning slightly.

ooc: For reference, I did find this site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_The_Experience) that outlines what happens on both attractions if you want to move the characters forward and stuff. :)

"I would doubt very sincerely that I am," Hiro grins. He listens to the plan to get back to the past and steps into the turbolift when they're directed.

When it goes into freefall, Hiro gasps in surprise, but steps on the desire to teleport them out.

OOC: Merci beaucoup.

"Hiro, you okay?" Chuck asks, noticing his friend seems a bit shaken up.

"I was not expecting this." Hiro looks a bit embarassed. This is a ride after all. He just expected the ride would begin when they reached the "shuttlecraft". "But that's part of the fun, neh?"

Chuck nods. "It's okay." Then with a bit of a grin, he adds, "All part of the 'Experience.'"

The group is finally led to the shuttle bay and onto the shuttlecraft. Everyone is seated and on the 'viewing screen,' the guests can see that the shuttlecraft has gone into warp. The 'shuttlecraft' shakes a bit as it does so thus beginning the motion ride part of the attraction.

Hiro rolls with the motion, watching the screens as they head for the "planet". "Have you seen this planet before?" He's trying to remember if this is a planet that the Enterprise crew has explored before.

Chuck shakes his head. "I think they made it up for the ride," he says.

Suddenly the shuttlecraft finds itself in a dog fight before completing the mission. The next they see is that they're taken through a temporal rift and are now flying over the Las Vegas skyline.

Hiro smiles as they supposedly return to their time. "Will they reveal who the ancestor is?" he whispers to Chuck.

When they are returned to their time, everyone on board the ride hears a message from Captain Picard. The Captain thanks everyone on board for 'restoring his existence.' But no one aboard is singled out for being the ancestor after all.

"I guess we'll never know," Chuck says to Hiro with a grin. "Besides, knowing probably screws up the space time continuum and whatnot." He then laughs a bit.

After following the signs to the exit, Hiro and Chuck find themselves in the 'History of the Future' museum. "Wanna take a look around here before we go encounter the Borg?"

Hiro nods. "I would like to see the 'Star Trek' history. The Eugenics Wars were in 1999, so we have already missed them, but I would like to see their past." He is watching absolutely everything.

They pass by some of the various uniforms through the years that Starfleet has worn. "Hey cool - it's Kirk's Admiral uniform," Chuck comments as he points to the glass case displaying it.

Hiro doesn't lean on the glass, but he's almost got his nose on the case. "I think it would be too short for you. Which uniforms do you like best?"

"Yeah, it probably would be too short," Chuck replies with a nod. "I kinda like the Next Generation uniforms though. The ones from season 2 on. You?"

"I like the ones from the later movies. The red ones. To me they look the most comfortable. I am not so sure that the Next Generation ones are as comfortable."

"No, they probably weren't that comfortable. Every so often, you'd see someone tug at their uniform. Picard especially."

They continue walking through the museum seeing more displays. There is now a large exhibit for the Borg in front of them now.

"We must be getting close to the other ride now," Chuck comments as he begins to look at the Borg display.

"I like the 2 piece clothes over the one piece. Unless it is a kimono, but a kimono opens more easily than these." He looks at the Borg display. "When Picard was taken by the Borg, I was worried. I knew that he would be ok because he is the hero, but I thought perhaps that he would be carrying metal pieces from that time on - that perhaps the Borg would always have part of him."

"Maybe in our future, they'll figure out how to make the uniforms more comfortable," Chuck replies with a grin.

He nods and then says. "Yeah, he didn't have the metal pieces like Seven of Nine. Of course, she was a Borg for most of her life. But with Picard...didn't he kinda have a nightmare recalling his time as Locutus?"

Hiro nods. "Not that I could fault him. It must be horrible to have once been so much a part of something that overwhelmed his individuality. Then to be cut from it."

He looks around and sees they're at the end of the exhibit. "Oh, is it time for the Borg ride?"

"Yeah. That's part of it, I think. Plus he probably felt he nearly aided in assimilating everyone on Earth. I mean, not willingly, but still..."

Chuck looks up and sees the line in front of them starting to move towards the entrance to the attraction. "Yup, looks like it is."

"His heart must have been so heavy after that. To know what he had done and to know that he could not have stopped himself. Star Fleet would have lost its heart if the Borg had taken Earth."

Hiro is nearly jumping up and down. "And after this we will go to Quark's bar, yes?"

Chuck nodded. "Exactly."

"Sure, why not? We should definitely see everything while we're here." Provided no one notices I'm missing...

After following the crowd, Chuck and Hiro now find themselves in a room that appears to be part of a Starfleet science station. A moment later the holographic Doctor from the Voyager series appears on the screen in front of them and greets them.

Hiro almost waves at the doctor, but clasps his hands together so he doesn't look too much like he's a dork.

The Doctor tells the groups they've all been selected to undergo medical testing since some of them are immune to the Borg's nanotechnology.

Chuck winces a bit. Even though he knows this a ride, the thought of being experimented on is something he finds unsettling.

The next thing they know, the station is under attack by a Borg cube.

Hiro also winces a bit at the thought of experimentation, too, although he thinks it would be cool if he was immune to the Borg nanotechnology.

He's a bit more prepared this time for the fact that it's a ride, so he squashes his immediate reaction to pop out.

A security officer enters the room and orders the group to follow him to an escape shuttle. As he dashes down the corridor, he motions for the group to follow. There are Borg drones heading towards them now.

"Uh-oh," Chuck says aloud as he notices one. Then he turns towards Hiro as jogs to follow the security officer. "This seems so real, doesn't it?"

Hiro jogs with him, keeping an eye on the drones and making sure he doesn't trip over anyone else. "Yes, it does. I hope this is part of the ride or we may need to make an 'emergency exit'."

"As far as I know-"

Just then a Borg arm reaches down from the corridor above, grabs one of the crewmen and drags him away.

Chuck eyes go wide as he sees the helpless crewman being dragged away.

He's about to say something when the security officer commands the group to head for the shuttle. Another officer pries the door open and waves for the group to enter.

Now aboard the shuttle, the group is commanded to put on a pair of 'safety goggles.'

"Must be the 3-D glasses," Chuck whispers to Hiro.

Hiro comes close to chasing down the crewman who's been grabbed by the Borg, but he needs to stick close to Chuck or possibly lose him.

Hiro looks at the glasses and nods. When he is directed to sit, he makes sure to sit next to Chuck. This ride is a bit more exciting than the Klingon one, especially with all the Borg attacking and dragging people away. He waits for the "launch" of the shuttle.

The shuttle doesn't get very far as the Borg cube's tractor beam draws the shuttle towards the cube.

A Borg probe soon enters the shuttle and sprays the group with nanites. Chuck feels something on his skin, like a fine water mist. Then suddenly it feel as though something is moving through his skin as a motion prod in the seat activates.

He gasps a bit as do others in the group. A couple people actually scream too.

Hiro gasps in surprise, especially when he feels his seat prod him and the mist that sprays their skin. When the Borg Queen begins to lecture about joining the hive mind, Hiro yells "Never!" Then nearly dies of embarassment as he has just out-dorked everyone there.

"Don't worry about it," Chuck whispers to Hiro as he notices his friend looks embarrassed.

He's about to say something more when he hears a familiar voice say, "Maybe it's time we even the sides!"

"Janeway," Chuck says aloud, nearly at the same time as Borg Queen.

"Yay!" Hiro cries as Janeway and the Queen argue and the Voyager comes to save them. He's tempted to yell at the Queen again, but he stomps on the compulsion

The Borg cube explodes on the screen. Chuck grins - the effect is pretty cool.

The shuttle then returns to the station and after some parting words from Janeway, the ride ends.

As they file out, Chuck asks Hiro, "Still wanna head to Quark's Bar?"
