TM #237 - It's your birthday!

My birthday last year was...kinda on the awkward side. My sister Ellie had only invited one of my friends - just Morgan. The rest of the guests were female friends of hers and the hope was that I'd take an interest in one of them.

So uh...this year....I kinda hope I get to plan my own birthday.

I dunno what I'd do really. I mean...birthdays were a bigger deal when I was a kid. There was a whole theme to it and stuff. If you couldn't be one of those lucky kids that could have their birthday parties at the cool places or have a bouncy castle in your backyard, you better have planned some cool activities.

I mostly just had some party games and a couple videos to watch and the kids wore like Star Wars party hats or something.

Nothing special.

Anyway...back to this year...

Maybe...instead of a party, we could just have a nice dinner somewhere instead. Keep things small. I don't really need anything fancy, you know?

Oh definitely. It was amazing they could pull off the mechanical arms they way they did. You'd swear they were there.

Of course, the Green Goblin effects were very good, too, but the tentacles were so amazing.

Yeah, they were pretty cool.

And even though 3 wasn't the greatest movie, the effects for the Sandman were pretty good too.

*Hiro nods.* That would be such a neat job, working on sfx on movies.

Oh yeah...definitely. I think it would be a lot of fun. A lot of hard work though but still...it would be neat.

I wonder if I should go back to school to improve my web graphic skills.

It may not be a bad idea if you're considering that line of work.

It may not work with my schedule and that it will not help me run the company.

Maybe you could do one of those online courses where the schedule is a bit more flexible?

Very much so. The two of us have been known to pick at each other for long periods of time.

I kinda got that impression from the way you talked about her.
