Comic-Con (open RP)

ooc: This post is open to everyone. It's complete bendy time too. Feel free to drop by, chat with one another and have fun!

The San Diego convention center was filled with all sorts of exhibits, panels and vendors selling all sorts of collectibles. There seemed to be so much to do and tons of events worth seeing.

"I'm finally here," Chuck commented out loud to no one in particular.

Hiro nods. "Magic is cool."

Grinning, Tommy flicked his wrist, vanishing the card without a second thought. "Good to know, 'cause if you do? You're gonna love this..."

Spreading his hands, showing them back and front to prove they were empty...then reached into the air and pulled a fan of cards from seemingly nowhere.

"Pretty neat, yeah?"

Isaac had always loved comics, it was a big reason why he fell into the industry in the first place. He knew that he wasn't ever going to be a Stan Lee, but he made a living selling his art and comic books and was pretty content with it.

The part he loved most about the job was the fans. He liked the idea of other people enjoying what he did and that it wasn't for purely his own benefit. Since he wasn't one of the biggest draws, he didn't expect anyone to come to a panel of his so instead he has a modest 9th Wonders! booth set up and greets the fans that pass by, also taking the time to check out the con himself.

"Awww, what? I like it." Terry assured him, her arm linked through his as she absently swung her swag bag at her side as they strolled along the rows of vendors. "I mean, seriously: CSI? I'm a geek by trade, it's my natural habitat. Okay, so maybe I'm not a comic book nerd per se, but I know you are. Maybe."

Grinning, she laughed and leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Just enjoy, huh?" It had taken some convincing to get him to come...he'd been thoroughly convinced she never would. Normally, she probably wouldn't have gone, but he was already peering around with such interest that she couldn't help but enjoy herself, even if it was just on his behalf.

And okay, some of the comics looked kind of interesting. What girl in her right mind didn't want just a little piece of Superman, really...

Wrapping his arm around her waist, he found himself grinning. "Yer here. How could I not enjoy myself? I'm just glad ya didn't make me dress up. I don't care how much we look like the couple from Alias, I was not goin' t' dress Goth just t' prove yer point. Although I think ya would look cute with pink hair," Nick added with a tease as they began to walk past the booths.

Hiro claps. He's always found magic, even just the sleight of hand tricks very cool. "That was very cool!"

"Mr. Isaac!" Hiro sees him and waves.

"Hiro!" Isaac returns the wave and approaches him with a smile. "I didn't know you'd be here, are you having fun?"

"What was?" Jack asks. He'd not followed Hiro as well as he had hoped and obviously missed something.

Chuck looks pleasantly surprised. "That was really cool! Jack, Tommy here just made a copy of the schedule I brought. An-and, I don't me took it to to a photocopier. He just...it looked like he ripped my copy in two but-" He pauses for a moment as he opens his ripped half and then continued, "See? It's a full sized schedule and Tommy has a copy of it too! Isn't that neat?"

Tommy grinned shyly, blushing a little as he shrugged. "Thanks, you guys are real generous, seriously."

Turning to the other two men, Tommy extended his hand. "Tommy Karras, it's good to meet you fellas. I just sorta bumped into Chuck here by accident...are you all buds?"

Terry huffed in mock disappointment, reaching for a stray curl at her shoulder and pulling it in front of her face to stare at cross-eyed. "As if...pink hair sucked. If I was gonna dress up like that spy chick? I'd so do the red hair and black catsuit."

Drawing away from Nick's grip, she stood in his path and struck an exaggerated sexy pose, complete with sultry pout. "Can you see me with fire engine hair and that cool black belly shirt? Seriously, what spy dresses like that?..."

"The kind that needs the ratin's," Nick quipped with a grin, leaning forward to drop a kiss on her lips. "Good thin' ya didn't though. I'd hate t' have t' get arrested fer beatin' men away with the nearest stick. Guys are oglin' ya enough without ya in an outfit like that." His arms slipped around her absently as he spoke.

"That sounds like a good one. We'll see that one too!" Chuck replies, smiling.

Jack looks over what Chuck just described to him, trying to take it all in, but it was a bit difficult with him talking so fast. This new person was a magician or something? "Hey, nice to meet you, Tommy," Jack says, taking his hand in a shake, "Yeah, we're all friends here. I'm Jack."

Chuck nods. "Yeah." He then points to each of his friends as he introduces them. "This is Hiro Nakamura and this is Jack Shephard." He then added in. "Oh and my last name is Bartowski, by the way."

"We have just arrived. We were going to the Gene Roddenberry panel! Are you one of the guest artists?"

"Bartowski, got it." Tommy replied, nodding to Chuck before shaking hands with Hiro and Jack in turn. "Hiro...Jack...it's great to meet you both. As for what these guys were talking about, well...I can show you. If that's all right."

Pausing, Tommy turned to Chuck and handed him his bag. "If you wouldn't mind..."

Taking a few steps back, he shut his eyes and wondered, only briefly, if he was using his powers too gratuitously. It took him only a split second to decide it was fine, especially if the feelings he was reading from Hiro and Chuck were any indication.

Taking a deep breath, Tommy spread his arms and concentrated as he started to lean back, far enough that it looked as if he might fall...

...then continued to ease backwards, his feet leaving the ground, slowly laying backwards until his body was stretched out, suspended in midair in a prone position.

"Yeah, I am. I don't really have much of a plan for what I'm supposed to do though." He turns around to grab something and offers it to Hiro. "I've been giving away copies of a special Comic-Con only issue, would you like one?"

"He did a cool magic trick." He hopes to see more.

Hiro blinks, then bows. "I would be quite honored."

Chuck looks up with an amazed look on his face. His jaw drops and he doesn't know what to say really. So he merely says, "Wow...tha-that's...totally cool!"

Isaac nods to Hiro in return and holds the comic book out for him. "I think you'll like this one. The guy who can teleport seems to be a fan favorite," he gives Hiro a good natured smile.

OOC: Comic con icon!!!

Hiro accepts the comic book and bows. "Honto? I would think most people would find him a little strange." He's grinning hugely.

OOC: Oooh! Wish I had any talent with them. Wonder if there are any of Masi around?

"No, in the fanmail I've gotten, a lot of people have told me that they identify with him. I think a lot of people have wanted to be a hero at some point." He grins. "And I may be partial, but I think he's a good one."

OOC: There probably are, I just got this one made for me so I'm no expert.
