Halloween Party (open RP)

Chuck donned his ren faire ruffled shirt and vest once again. Although he would eventually break into the Sandworm costume, he thought to have something costume-ish on in the meantime.

The courtyard outside Chuck and Ellie's apartment was decorated with Halloween lights and spooky decorations. Music played as costumed guests mingled with one another while a couple were helping themselves to the snacks and punch set up on a table at the edge of the courtyard.

Chuck nodded. "I think so, yeah."

"That is a good thing. If not, he may have tried to be friendly with you or Morgan."

"Lawyers are....generally boring. Except in Boston." She smiled again and looked at the table of drinks, "Punch would be nice."

Sarah nodded, "Does she do that at every party?"

"I've tried to be nice to Jeff and found he's actually weirder than than I thought he was..."

"Not all, but he's done it more than once." Chuck then shook his head. "Be right back."

A moment later, Chuck returned with a cup of punch for Sarah.

"S-so...what makes Boston lawyers different?" he asked.

Hiro's eyes go round at that. "Honto? I did not think he could be even weirder."

"He got drunk and I took him to my place since I was afraid he'd get into an accident if he drove home drunk. In his drunken state, he looked up and saw Sarah and Ellie there. And he said something like, 'I'll take the blonde; you can have the brunette.'" Chuck gave a disgusted shudder. "That's creepy on multiple levels."

Hiro's eyes are still round. "Ick."

"Tell me about it. I realize he was plastered, but still...." Chuck then shudders again.

"It is very disturbing. Some people should not consume alcohol."

Lorraine took her drink and nodded in thanks, "We have Denny Crane...you haven't heard about him? He was on Larry King a few times, from what I've heard."

"Thanks" She said as she took her drink, "What's the rest of the Nerd Herd planning to be this year?"

"Yeah. I think Jeff has an issue with it too."

"You're welcome." He then continued, "Anna's around here somewhere in a ninja outfit. I dunno about Lester or Jeff. Lester declared himself too cool for this party. And...well, thankfully Jeff chimed in with Lester about not coming. After what happened when I brought Jeff home drunk...um, well, I think Ellie is still weirded out by him."

"I think I remember seeing Denny on CNN. Didn't he talk about...shooting a criminal guy in the kneecaps?"

"In the sense that he probably drinks too often. He once said that he goes home from work and is drunk by 8:05. Then he told a story about being kicked out of Bennigan's for drinking too much."

"That is sad. Does he feel like he is under a lot of pressure?"

Chuck shook his head. "He doesn't seem like he is. I think he just likes to get drunk."

"There is that." Hiro shrugs. "Some people just like the feeling."
