ooc: Oopsie - date of birth corrected

So I was going through my Chuck DVD set today and rewatching 'Alma Mater.' During Chuck's flash on himself, several documents on him load uber fast and of course...on normal viewing I couldn't read them. But thanks to the DVD, I could slow it down enough to view them.

Turns out on Chuck's student application, his date of birth is 09/18/1981 and apparently he was born in Hartford, CT and was staying in Santa Clara, CA in 1999. (Go fig.)

Wonder when Encino figures in or if Morgan saying Chuck was 'of the Encino Bartowskis' was a joke.

Oh well. :)

So I will be also using this date of birth for RP stuff. If he told you he was 28, then, my bad. He'll be 28 this year.

Ok, so he's only a year older than Hiro (at least mine).

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
And not even full year. Going by the DOB you have for Hiro, there's only seven months between them.

Not that Hiro cares. He's just "Yay! Chuck!"

*g*

I also thought it was a neat read.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. I also think it's interesting he was born in CT and ended up in CA. Wonder if Dad moved them there or if they moved there to get as far away as they could from bad memories? Also have to wonder why CT is his permanent home of address.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
If CT is correctly his permanent address, then maybe that's where he was living prior to moving out to CA to attend Stanford. If so, then Dad would have been out of the picture by then, as Chuck said he left 11 years ago. That puts Dad leaving them in 1997/early 1998. Either way, a tiny bit before Chuck enters Stanford in 1999.

I always kinda assumed Chuck lived in CA for a long time, but maybe he didn't after all.

I mean, Morgan mentions knowing Chuck for 19 years. Did Morgan live in CT and move out to CA too? Or are there other Bartowskis living in CT?

It could be that there are other Bartowskis in CT. Cousins, uncles, grandparents, etc. Maybe after Momma and Papa Bartowski split, Chuck went to live with a relative in CT even though he had been living in CA for awhile. He would have been too young to legally live on his own. I dunno exactly how much older Ellie is. 2, 3 years, maybe? Because she couldn't exactly support Chuck and probably was in school somewhere herself in the late 90's.

Just totally spitballin'.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Of course, it could also be that Stanford is like most colleges and it takes a glacier's age to fix any kind of information on the student.

That could be. Perhaps Ellie went to college/med school in CA and Chuck would visit her before she was old enough to have him stay with her permanently. Maybe that's where Chuck and Morgan met - Chuck would see her on holidays, things like that and Morgan lived close by.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
That too.

No, they met each other before that. In an upcoming episode, there's a flashback to 1992 and Chuck and Morgan are friends then. I don't know if the flashback will tell us where they are though. Plus Morgan does say knew Ellie for 19 years, so I assumed that means that's how long he knew Chuck too.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think someone wasn't paying attention when they put that sheet together, honestly.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
They probably figured it would go by too fast to be read anyway.

Maybe he was born in CT and they moved to CA when he was little though.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
That would be my guess. Although I guess he still has family in CT who, for whatever reasons, kept his residency there even with him and Ellie living in CA.

Maybe. I dunno.

He's just a few months older than Rachel.

Also, if he stayed in Santa Clara the whole time he was attending Stanford? They potentially could have crossed paths. She went to Santa Clara University starting in the fall of 2000. How funny. :)

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
So Rachel was born in 1982 as well. :)

He could have stayed in that area. The show never said where that place was that he shared with Bryce (and others).

Too funny though. Maybe they crossed paths and never realized it!

Yup! January 1982.

Maybe they did! Maybe that's why they hit it off so well at the start? :D

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-01-08 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
January 19th, from what it says on the LJ b-day alerts. *g*

You never know. :D

[personal profile] gotbottle 2009-01-08 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Yup! :)

Like two ships in the night, passing each other, only to meet up years later. It's all romantic and crap. :D
gotbottle: (laughing)

[personal profile] gotbottle 2009-01-08 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
It is! Theirs is a friendship that was meant to be. :D
