TM #278 - What are you wearing?

Wait, what?

I'm kinda wearing what I usually wear on a work day. The Nerd Herd uniform is pretty simple - a white short sleeved button down shirt, a gray tie and dress pants. We also have to wear a badge to identify us as working for the Nerd Herd. Mine is inside a pocket protector. (Thus adding to to the whole 'nerd' thing.) And on my feet are a black pair of chucks.

Yeah, my name is Chuck and I wear chucks. Original? Probably not.

Once I'm home though, I tend to change into a t-shirt and jeans. Usually the t-shirt has some sort of gamer theme to it.

Of course, if I'm going out on a date, I'll dress nicer.

[Locked to those who know of his secret life]

Sometimes for spy missions, I wear certain outfits too depending on what the mission is. But a lot of times, I've had to dress up for those. [/unlocked]

Not really an exciting answer, I know.

Sometimes you get to wear very nice suits on those jobs.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-04-27 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
I do.

And sometimes I get to wear a tux.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-04-27 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Which would look very good on you. You can probably wear many different styles. I only really look good in a classic tux.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-04-29 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I've worn a couple of different types.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-04-30 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
*Hiro nods.* Being tall and slender, you have much more to choose from.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-04-30 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you started to look for tuxes for the wedding?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-01 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Not yet. Do you think I should just go with a classic black tux? I do not think I would look very good in a white one.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-01 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
I think black would be better, yeah. It's more traditional too.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-01 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
Of course, I will not have to worry when we have the Shinto wedding.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-03 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Not about a tux, no.

Um...this may be a stupid question but, um, what do guests usually wear to a Shinto wedding?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-03 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Well, for the first part you would be in a kimono. When the reception starts, a tux is good. I will probably leave all of the arrangements to my sister and my Aunt Ai. I suspect the reception will be huge.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-03 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? How many people are you expecting?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-04 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
There will be my family, which is rather large, my friends, Claire's family and friends, business contacts...I fear we will be renting an entire hotel.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately, my wedding will bring out the toadies and boot lickers.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-08 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, while you can't always control the dates the invited people bring...I mean...you do have some control over the guest list...

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-09 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, I have no choice. It has nothing to do with dates, but who the company feels should be there. As CEO, I will be expected to entertain a number of clients.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-10 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
You have to entertain clients at your wedding?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-10 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately, yes. The reception, at least. The wedding will only be our close people.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, okay. Well that's good you get to have the wedding with family and friends at least.

I'll...try to make a good impression on the clients and stuff.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I think they will be impressed. A tall, young gaijin with movie-star looks will always impress them.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
I don't look like a movie star....

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
You do! You could be in movies - the dashing young hero. The new generation of Jedi.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
*grins* I'd love that.

Though Ellie says I can't aspire to pilot the Millennium Falcon.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Why not? You have perfect vision. And you have the computer skills you would need to pilot a ship.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
She says I need more realistic goals.

I remember I told Claire about this. She joked we should build our own.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Pfffft! I will help you build it, too.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-13 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Okay!

The three of us should be done in no time! After, of course, we manage to create the hyperdrive.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-14 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...that's the part that might take awhile...

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2009-05-14 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
We should probably get Stephen Hawking to help us.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-05-15 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
*grins* Now there's an idea.

[identity profile] sarahwalker.livejournal.com 2009-04-28 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I like the tux.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2009-04-29 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
*smiles* Thanks, Sarah.
