The How's My Driving Meme

Yeah, I think this has gone around before. But I don't remember if I ever gave my thoughts on how I play Chuck the last time or if I just asked others for feedback.

Oh well, I'll critique myself this time around regardless.

I've played Chuck now for just over two years. When I started playing him, I was worried I wouldn't be able to pull him off. And I really wanted to be able to do him justice since he's a character I enjoy a lot. As time went on, I feel I got a better handle on his voice though of late, I feel I may have lost some of that due to lack of time playing and writing him. (That and he hasn't had any new source material since April.)

Still, I really enjoy playing him. He's fairly canon, save for some other muses knowing his secret. He used to have non-canon verses but mostly, those have faded, save for the future verse which shows up now and then in prompts.

So, how is my driving? Anything I need to work on?

I think as time as gone on you've developed his voice more and more, but I don't think you've ever lost it. Not posting as much is one thing, you'll have no problem jumping right back into new canon.

I think, personally, you hit the ground running. Chuck, like Hiro, can seem to be very one-note, but he's a lot more subtle than Hiro is. I think you caught on to that very quickly.

As to losing his voice, I don't think you have at all, but I can understand your frustration in having no canon for several months. I don't know if you look for spoilers or anything, but, quite frankly, except for the commercials I haven't seen "boo!" about Chuck at all.

Also, you're playing in a bit a vacuum, which doesn't help. I mean, I have all kinds of "Heroes" people to play with so I get to explore all kinds of parts of the universe (plus having a larger cast to begin with).

I think you do an excellent job playing Chuck. You have his voice down pat and you understand his very gentle nature. I always enjoy playing with Chuck.

I'm too lazy to log out right now, but I have to say I really like your Chuck. From the ones I've seen he seems to have the best voice. You write him like he was a real person, which lends a lot to any RP character.

I think Chuck is one of those shows that makes it hard to post between seasons, but I think once it starts up again Chuck'll be back in full force.
