TM #386 - Do you have children? If not, do you want them one day?

[Locked to those who know of his secret life.]

I don't have any children now. I do wonder what it would be like to have them someday though. But, the spy life...I've seen what's done to my family. Both my parents were part of it and both of them were not part of the lives for my sister and I for several years.

Because of the spy life, I honestly thought they abandoned us only to find out, that wasn't quite true. Especially my mom. My mom even had to lie to me to keep her cover in tact when we found her.

So what happens if Sarah and I have kids? Would we be able to be with them? Would missions call us away for months or years on end? I don't know. Plus, there's always the risk that they would be in danger. What would we have to pretend to keep covers and keep them safe?

I guess the short answer is 'I don't know.' It's a decision with a lot to think about, that's for sure.

Then the music repeats so we do the same steps again until it fades out.

Ok. *He continues being a chicken.*

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Yup, the 'na-na-na-na-na-na-nah' part starts up again and you redo those four moves.

*He's definitely picking this up faster than the Electric Slide, but it is an easier dance.*

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
You like this dance more than the Electric Slide?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. I think the Electric Slide is much more interesting. It is much more like the line dances I learned in Texas.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the Chicken Dance is a pretty simple one. Kids sometimes do it in school.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-17 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
I can see where children would like it.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-18 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
So, we are going to dance this at your wedding?

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-19 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. And we can do the Electric Slide. I should finish teaching you that...

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-20 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I think I am ready now. *A distraction can be a good thing.*

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-24 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
We left off at part 3, right?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-24 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
You are correct. That is the backward one, right?

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-24 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, that's the one.

We're going a bit forward in the fourth section. So you step forward with your left foot.

Then you bring your right foot back, but you keep your right foot toes in line with your left foot's heel and tap the toes to the heel.

Then you slide your right foot back a half step.

And then you cross your left foot in front of your right.

I think this part is the trickiest.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-25 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
*Slowly following Chuck.* I have to agree.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-25 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
I'll demonstrate again, if you'd like.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-25 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Most definitely. I think this is much tougher than the rest.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-25 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah.

*demonstrates the steps again*

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-25 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
*Hiro follows him, a bit better and faster this time.* Ok, we should try all of it now.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-26 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there's still a bit more to it but we can rehearse the dance up through this part.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-29 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Yup, we're not done yet...there's 1 more part.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-31 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Step forward and turn left. Then count 1,2 to the beat of the music before you step forward with left foot.

Then hop and turn yourself sideways. The left shoulder will be pointing forward and the right one is pointing back. Then we clap.

And then all the steps repeat.
