I suppose there are no "c"s in Hieroglyphs.

The two 'c's in my name ended up as 'k's.

But according the the Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_uniliteral_signs) there was a 'Ch' sound hieroglyph.

I'm guessing the meme thing just does each letter on its own though.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-06-20 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I think so. If there is a "ch" sound, it should be there in the first place.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-06-20 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
It should, but a meme generator thing probably isn't advanced enough to figure stuff like that out. I mean, it could be....if someone took the extra time to program it.

Very true. But it could be worse. It could ignore it completely.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-06-20 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Like that one that ignored my name.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-06-20 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it seemed the name origins that meme had were Western names only.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-06-20 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Which is not fair. *Hiro pouts.*

Apparently O's and U's are the same in hieroglyphs. *grins*

That does look cool though.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
The squiggly thing?

It is kinda neat looking.

[identity profile] agentmaxwell.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
...Reminds me of my braid. *laughs*

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
It kinda does look like it! *grins*

[identity profile] agentmaxwell.livejournal.com 2008-06-24 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. Duo Maxwell, nice to me- *looks closely at him and realises something* No, wait, I can do this.
*thinks hard* Yo.. shi.. no, that was afterwards... Roshi..

...Yoroshiku?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Ii desu! Watashi no namae wa Nakamura Hiro des'. Hajimemashite. *He bows then holds out his hand.* Duo is an interesting name.

[identity profile] agentmaxwell.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
*bows shyly and shakes his hand* ...Yar name is Hiro? Just like my boyfriend!

You like it? I picked it myself. *proud*

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Your boyfriend did not have a name before? Of course, I cannot fault your choice of names. I like my name.

[identity profile] agentmaxwell.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
*laughs* Sorry, they were two different things.

Actually, his name is written "Heero". He's the one who taught me some japanese.

The "you like it..." part of the comment was an aswer to yar "Duo is an interesting name". I picked my name. Part of bein' an orphan, yah know.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! Sumimasen! Yes, it is an interesting name; I like it. I am sorry to hear you are an orphan. My parents are no longer with us, but I had many years with my father.

When he writes it in Japanese, does he write it in kanji or hiregana?

[identity profile] agentmaxwell.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Nan demo nai. *winks* Sorry 'bout yar father. Did yah at least enjoy the days with'im?

...Know what? No idea. I never saw him write it in japanese symbols. I know the "ee" thin' is after a politician whose name was "Hiroshi" but when he became famous 'round the world, they wrote it in the wrong way so it kinda stuck like that. :P

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2008-06-25 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I did. When he was not being very strict. I know why he was and what he wanted me to do, but I was a little bit of a rebel.

A famous politician? I am not very familiar with politics.
