Well, there was this evil lady known as the Black Widow. She had the Cipher, a device that would lead to a new Intersect computer being built.

So...we had to get it from her somehow. And the plan was to maybe...well, seduce her into giving it to us. But Casey had failed seduction classes and, so...well, there was this agent named Roan Montgomery called in. He was like the James Bond of his day. And he said he could teach me how to seduce this Black Widow.

So he gave me a few lessons and...well, they didn't exactly work right. But I did manage to get her to invite me into her room.

So while she went to 'slip into something more comfortable' I looked around her room for any sign of the Cipher. I remember seeing the knife she used to kill so many people and that triggered a pretty scary flash.

But eventually anyway I found the Cipher was on this necklace she wore and I managed to get it from her. But...um...now I was trapped on the balcony so I tried to climb up to the next floor. There was a couple there that though I was some peeping tom and they kicked me off the balcony and I fell onto an an air mattress on the ground below. I started the couple using it, but...hey, I was alive at least!

But...things didn't go so well after that. The Black Widow captured Sarah and Casey and was going to kill them if I didn't her back the Cipher.

So...I tried to figure out what to do. I called General Beckman...or tried anyway but no one would put me through to her. And I contacted Roan and first I thought he wouldn't help but anyway, finally there was an exchange arranged.

The Black Widow was to come to the Buy More and free Casey and Sarah for the Cipher. So I thought I had things under control. I broadcast myself on the screens in the store thinking I was safe where I was.

But, nope. One of her henchmen found me and chased me and now I was on the roof. There was a banner hanging there and Roan was telling me this story about a time he tied a bedsheet and swung to safety and basically well, made me think to do that with the banner.

And it worked! I landed safely and we were able to take down the Black Widow and her henchmen and Sarah and Casey were all right!

Oh, that is the Black Widow you mentioned!

Casey failed seduction class? *Is trying not to laugh. He doesn't want to get pounded into paste.*

Perhaps you are now the new James Bond?

Yup.

Well, in his defense...turns out Roan failed Casey because his partner was very pretty.

Me? I...no...n-not yet.

*Hiro frowns.* Why fail Casey because his partner was pretty? I am confused.

But soon.

So he could come back with his partner over and over.

I dunno about that.

*Hiro rolls his eyes.*

I know, huh? Pretty sly of Roan to do that.

Glad someone does... *laughs a bit then sighs*

He's a pervert.

You do a much better job at being a spy than I do.

He has many a lady friend, let me tell you. The flash I had on him was all about the ladies.

I'm still not a real spy.

Ando's a pervert and he gets all the girls, too. Well, at least more than I do.

Do you want to be a spy? I mean truly a spy.

Acting like that might get you a fling...but probably not a relationship.

I'm not...I'm not cut out to be one. I mean, yeah it seems kinda cool in one sense but...I dunno. I'd probably have to disappear, leave Ellie behind and Morgan too...

You are right, but then I do not think Ando is very ready for marriage or a long-term relationship.

*He thinks for a moment.* Do you want to be a programmer? Are you willing to move to New York?

Maybe not now, but...maybe someday.

I do wanna be a programmer. Why do you ask?

I think if he met the right girl he would marry in a heartbeat. He just has not met the right girl.

Come work for my company. Programmers are always needed.

Well, hopefully he'll find her someday.

*smiles* Now that would be great!

*thinks for a moment* But...I dunno if I could. The CIA seemed to have set up at lot of stuff in LA recently. It's kinda like both agencies plan on staying for awhile...

I probably can't just up and leave like that...as much as I'd love to...

I hope he does, too. He will be very happy to be married man, I think.

I do not think they would let you go as long as you are the Intercept. But, when you are free of it and, if you have not taken up a career as a spy, think abut it.

*smiles*

No, as long as I'm the Intersect... *sighs*

*nods* I do.

I thought at least maybe...you know, Sarah and I could get together but...something happened that changed that. I didn't want to say that to her but I was worried about her.

What happened?

This is going to take some backstory. You remember how I mentioned Bryce before, right?

*Hiro nods.* He was horrible to you. A very bad friend. And he told your school you were cheating when you were not. He is also the one that made sure the Intercept was downloaded into your head.

That's him all right. I asked Sarah if it was okay if I told you this and she said it was all right.

I found out something about Bryce...something that kinda changed things. While on a mission, Sarah and I discovered this disk with a bunch of CIA files on it. And there was one with my name on it. I clicked on it and it was of Bryce telling my professor that the CIA shouldn't recruit me because he was afraid I'd die in the field. My professor said my test results on the subliminal image test were so good the CIA had to find out and that I'd be very valuable for the Omaha Project...whatever that was. So Bryce came up with a plan that he'd report me for cheating so that my results would be invalidated and so I wouldn't be recruited after all. So...by lying, he sorta rescued me then. Sarah made me promise I wouldn't tell anyone about that file. Not even Casey knows...so, don't say anything, okay?

Anyway, after Bryce sent me the Intersect, we did think he was killed by Casey. But it turned out...Fulcrum kept him alive to find out more about what he did with the Intersect. He told me the plans to destroy the first one were part of a mission and that he was here to protect me from Fulcrum and all. And he did. But then he went back undercover to stop Fulcrum and he came back again.

I was going to visit Sarah and Bryce was at her apartment. They worked together before and he was telling her about a mission to recover a device that had the new Intersect files on it. So Casey and I joined on the mission. And at one point, a Fulcrum agent held me at gunpoint. Bryce made a move to pretend to surrender, handing over his gun and the Intersect device over. He signaled to Sarah to shoot the Fulcrum agent but Sarah couldn't do it.

Casey ended up shooting the agent, actually.

So...later on...Bryce talked to me. He said he thought Sarah couldn't take the shot because she liked me too much and that her feelings for me almost cost me my life and the device.

I...was worried for Sarah. I...*sighs* didn't want her to be hurt because of me. So...I told her... *looks down for a moment*

I told her she was an amazing person but that we couldn't have a real relationship because I was just a normal guy who wants a normal life and she would be this great agent off saving the world and...

I sorta broke up with her to save her.

*Sits down hard.* Oh, Chuck, I am so sorry to hear this. But you really still love her, do you not?

And Casey will hear nothing from me about any of this.
