It was a simple party. Snacks, a couple bottles of champagne and sparkling cider were neatly placed on a fold out table decorated with noise makers and party hats.
Guests were gathered in the courtyard just outside of Chuck and Ellie's apartment, chatting with one another.
The Morgan door was temporarily blocked by a small TV broadcasting 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' in anticipation of the countdown to 2009.

He then gave a puzzled look. "Why is that?"

She shrugged, chuckling quietly. "Maybe he has connections he's been keeping from us this whole time."

He then chuckled, adding, "I should warn you, my Dad taught me how to make that dish and he was no expert cook."
Chuck shook his head, though smiling a bit. "And if Morgan does, Casey will bait him with grape soda until he cracks. Which...knowing Morgan, won't be too long."

"Somehow I think Casey would resort to a form of interrogation that wasn't as nice as just offering grape soda, though."

Chuck shook his head. "Well, when he wanted to learn more about where the marlin was, that's all he did to him. We both know Casey could do far worse. And if Morgan didn't talk, he'd probably learn that too. Luckily, a few growls and some grape soda did the trick, from what he told me, at least."
