TM #386 - Do you have children? If not, do you want them one day?

[Locked to those who know of his secret life.]

I don't have any children now. I do wonder what it would be like to have them someday though. But, the spy life...I've seen what's done to my family. Both my parents were part of it and both of them were not part of the lives for my sister and I for several years.

Because of the spy life, I honestly thought they abandoned us only to find out, that wasn't quite true. Especially my mom. My mom even had to lie to me to keep her cover in tact when we found her.

So what happens if Sarah and I have kids? Would we be able to be with them? Would missions call us away for months or years on end? I don't know. Plus, there's always the risk that they would be in danger. What would we have to pretend to keep covers and keep them safe?

I guess the short answer is 'I don't know.' It's a decision with a lot to think about, that's for sure.

*plays the sound file again, this time demonstrating the first four parts of the dance*

See...first you cluck, then you flap your wings and then you shimmy down with your hands behind your back for your feathers and then clap four times.

*He makes a rather silly chicken.* Clap four times with my hands behind my back?

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-09 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Oops. I goofed that part. No, when it comes time to clap, you bring your hands to the front to clap.

Yeah, it's a pretty easy one. Then after that, the music swells for a moment. Depending on the room we have, we'd either walk around in a circle or sway back and forth until the 'na-na-na-na-nah' part starts again.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-11 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
We walk around like chickens or just walk around?

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-11 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Whenever I did the circle thing, we just walked in a circle. Not like a chicken, just normally.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-12 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
But if it is the chicken dance, should you not stay a chicken the entire time?

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-12 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably. I guess people just do the chicken stuff at the na-na-nah-na-na-nahs since it sounds more like a clucking chicken.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-12 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose. But I still think a chicken dance should actually be all a chicken dance.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-12 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
It should be. But I guess it could be if there's a group of people willing to do it that way.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-12 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
So, now we walk around like chickens, neh?

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-13 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
I guess we could do that by flapping our arms up and down?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-13 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
*Hiro starts flapping. Surprisingly he does a pretty good chicken.* Bawk! bawk!

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-13 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
*Chuck gets into it too, flapping his arms as well* Bawk! Bawk!

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Then the music repeats so we do the same steps again until it fades out.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Ok. *He continues being a chicken.*

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Yup, the 'na-na-na-na-na-na-nah' part starts up again and you redo those four moves.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
*He's definitely picking this up faster than the Electric Slide, but it is an easier dance.*

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
You like this dance more than the Electric Slide?

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. I think the Electric Slide is much more interesting. It is much more like the line dances I learned in Texas.
