Hey all. I'm going to be heading to the west coast for a week. (The muse may live in California, but the mun lives on the east coast. *g*)
I'll be in Vegas for a couple of days and then visiting a family friend in California.
I'm leaving early tomorrow morning so I may catch up on a couple replies after work before I go. I should be back on-line sometime on the 17th. (My flight home gets in rather late on the 16th.)
Feel free to reply to this and leave a note of any threads I'll need to tag back when I'm on-line again.
Take care and see you in a week!

The only beach I got to see was Huntington Beach but that was a very nice one.

Oh I took a lot of pictures...way too many. I'm going to go through them and see which ones came out good and stuff.

But I did get some nice pics of SeaWorld so if you still wanna do the RP with Chuck and Hiro going there, I could use some of them for that. We ended up doing the Breakfast with Shamu instead of the Dinner so the shots of that area are daytime though. *g*

Oooh, that sounds great! Pics are always good reference!
no subject
Definitely! We should put something together sometime. Might make a fun RP. *g*

Oh yeah! Though the only Seaworld I've been to is in FL and I haven't been there in a loooooooooong time.

But anyway...I work at least 35 hours per week. That's considered full time hours for the company. I work 9 nine hour days and 1 8 hour day. I tend to work more than the 35 though most weeks. I tend to do overtime at some point.
I never been to that one. We passed it so many times while driving to Disney World but never stopped there. *lol* We didn't get to do everything at SeaWorld though. It was 97 degrees that day and too much of it was outside. My mom's friend is really sensitive to heat and by like 2 or 3, we headed back to her place. I can fill you in on what we did see and kinda wing of some of the stuff.

Ah, I work 40hr sorta weeks. 36 one week, 44 the other. Payperiods are worked out on bi-weekly basis.
97?! Bleh! Poor thing. I'm not a big fan of heat - dry or not. My great sympathy to you.
no subject
Is it always 36 then 44 hours? Or does it vary?
And okay...brain is still fried. I meant to type I work three 9 hour days and one 8 hour day per week at least. *head desks*
Yeah. The heat got to me one day. I almost fainted at Disney at one point. But then I got something to eat and drink and felt a lot better.
no subject
Oy! You gotta watch yourself in that kind of heat!
no subject
I know. But I didn't realize it was that hot.
Except for that near fainting spell, I so loved that park (Disney's California Adventure).
no subject
So, what all is there in CA adventure?

There were lots of rides. Some that were amusement park like (big roller coaster, massive ferris wheel, bumper cars). Others were move based ones. (There was a Monster's Inc. ride that you rode past a bunch of anomatronic reenactments of scenes from that movie.)
There were also shows. We saw this Aladdin one that was awesome! It was like a Broadway production of the movie. Wonderful effects and performers and costumes and everything.
They had this animation tribute thing too and one of them allowed you to have an animator teach you how to draw a character. The class we were in was how to draw Winnie the Pooh. And you got to keep your drawing which was nice.

Obviously the drawing class is how they find their new talent...so, when are you moving over there? :)
no subject
I do the tame stuff. And the Monster's Inc. one is really tame.
*giggles* I wish I were that good, seriously. I can't draw bodies to save my life.

Those kinds of rides (Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, etc.) are no problems. Had lots of fun going through the Haunted House at Disney World about 3 times.
It's been a while since I did any serious drawing. I should get back into it.
no subject
Yeah, the Monster's Inc. one is like those kind of rides. I love Pirates and the Haunted Mansion rides. Small World irks me after awhile.
I haven't done any serious drawing for awhile. I have sketches and doodles, but nothing finished.
What kinds of stuff did you like to draw?

That's pretty cool though. I never could do realistic portraits. That takes talent.
*giggles* A portrait of tribbles being dumped on someone's head. Too funny.
no subject
I can't do portraits, except in ballpoint. Which is rather bizarre, considering how unforgiving the medium is.
He was one of those very absent-minded professors. He probably wouldn't have noticed the tribbles being dropped on his head!
