Halloween Party (open RP)

Chuck donned his ren faire ruffled shirt and vest once again. Although he would eventually break into the Sandworm costume, he thought to have something costume-ish on in the meantime.

The courtyard outside Chuck and Ellie's apartment was decorated with Halloween lights and spooky decorations. Music played as costumed guests mingled with one another while a couple were helping themselves to the snacks and punch set up on a table at the edge of the courtyard.

Laughing, she clapped her hands. "No, wait, maybe, that's really tempting. I don't need any more responsibilities."

Giggling she nodded, "Eureka! Either go below or above, that will work."

"Running a whole universe would be a lot of responsible. Even moreso than 'Emperor of the Known Universe,' which Morgan has joked I could be someday."

"Exactly!"

"See, I figure that job might kill me, even if I do appoint like a million people do to my various jobs. Plus I really don't want to run against you, because I think you have better qualifications then me." Grinning she turned her head and coughed lightly into her hand.

"Excuse me. Is Morgan here, I always hear stories but never see him . . . Oh! What about the Major?! I need to tackle him."

Chuck laughed. "I don't even know how you can get such a job. And besides, I wouldn't wanna like terrorize anyone to get that job. Just not me."

He then shook his head. "Morgan's not here yet. But Casey should be around here somewhere..."

ooc: Maybe I can find Morgan!mun to join us but I don't see the muse around too too often.

"Maybe you inherit it, or you are pulled from a lottery and all of a sudden you are God of the universe! I am not sure if that would be a cool thing or the worst job in the world yet."

Steeples her fingers and then wiggles them deviously. "Excellent! Sometimes I feel bad for the Major, and then - I don't."

ooc: It's okay, I think I've seen him once in one of your threads.

"It would be a pretty tough one, that's for sure. Maybe aliens come to get me and make me their leader and stuff. And then other aliens just follow their lead..." He grinned and shrugged.

"Oh?"

ooc: Yeah...I wish he'd be around more often. It's fun when Chuck and Morgan get to play.

"So you don't actually rule, you are just a figure head? Mmmm, that might work, oh you could be like Queen Elizabeth! Do you think that would be really satisfying?"

Giggles and then shrugs, "he's a big kid, he can take care of himself. I don't think he'll break me. Maybe."

ooc: Awh yeah, I hate it when that happens!

"I think I'd have to do something. I dunno. I'd have to ask Morgan how Emperor of the Known Universe works."

"Probably not on purpose, at least." He then laughed.

"Clearly there should be rules and laws laid out to avoid such messes. I mean you could just sit around and look pretty."

Groaning she looked over her shoulder nervously. "That's a little unsettling."

"Yeah...on a throne of multi-colored light.

"I was just kidding."

"At least you would have an amazing throne, oh would you have a crown too? Because that would be rocking."

Grinning she wiggled her eyebrows at him, "except maybe not."

"I think so. At least I'd want one. I'd want my garb to be totally different from say, well, Emperor Palpatine."

"Nah, really Casey's okay."

"Well it's only fair, I mean, c'mon." She nods for a moment, thinking. "Ah but you could follow on his robe tails and inspire that same type of fear. You know you can only rule through either love or fear. At leas that's what Machiavelli says."

"I know, I'm just teasing."

"No! I don't wanna be the scary Emperor type. Nice Emperor, okay, maybe a bit of a pushover but I can't like give orders to blow up entire planets and stuff." Chuck shook his head.

Casey approached Salome and Chuck. He was wearing a beige t-shirt and camouflage pants. There were dogtags around his neck as well.

"You tackled me once. Why do you need to do it again?"

Damn Casey and his ability to move silently, she jumped when he came up behind her and laughed.

Turning she bounced and tackled him, wrapping her arms around him in a hug. "Because I missed you, Major!"

At least this time, the tackle-hug-pounce didn't knock him over. But it did make him go "Oof!" as Salome jumped into him.

"I...see," he said blinking a bit. "Hello again to you too."

"Hello, Major Casey, I trust you are well." Grinning she finally let go of him and found her footing on the floor. Fixing her dress she offered him a bouquet of yellow and white flowers.

"For you, they are happiness flowers."

Casey nodded. "I'm fine. You?"

He took the flowers and cocked his head slightly. "Happiness flowers, huh?"

Shrugged a little bit, "School work has sucked out my brain and replaced me with a pod person. The usual."

She nodded seriously. "Yes, the water maiden comes out of the water and where she steps flowers bloom and those flowers will bring people good luck and happiness."

He walked around her and then said with a grin, "Well, it's an amazing likeness."

"Sounds like a nice story."

Her head tipped back and she laughed, "there's a little return code on the back of my neck. That way if I malfunction they can send me back to the pod fields."

Rocking back and forth on her heels she shrugged. "What makes you think it's just a story?"

Casey gave a sort of, "Yeah right" look. "Because it is."

"It could be the reason they are taking over the world, sad but true." She gave him a shrug and then shook her head.

"No, it's true! Just trust me on this."

"Can you shoot these aliens if you have to? Cuz I will," Casey assured Salome.

"So are you a water maiden or a pod person? Because then the flowers won't work if you're a pod person." He then laughed.
