Name three things that you're looking forward to in the near future and why.
Okie dokie.
1. Comic Con.
I still dunno who I'm gonna go with but I definitely would like to go again. I got to go last year with Morgan and had a lot of fun.
Does it really surprise you this made the list? Probably not.
( Tiny spoiler )
There are a few movies and stuff coming out I'd like to see. But I limited it to just two so I have three things for the list.
2. Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
During the summer, the first episode is supposed to be shown in theaters. And then in the fall, the series starts on Cartoon Network. It kinda looks like a video game art wise. But it still looks kinda cool.
3. Quantum of Solace.
Well, okay...it doesn't come out 'til November. I hope that counts as 'near' future.
It's the newest James Bond movie. So...yeah, definitely going to see this one.
(I uh...don't really have anything major going on in my life for awhile.( Small season finale spoiler ))

Apr. 20th, 2008 10:41 am Name a character that you know I write or have written, and I'll tell you:
a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
e. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.
I've only done prompts and such for 4 muses though. Here they are:
cynical_shadow - (The Banker, Deal or No Deal (USA))
nerdherdchuck - (Chuck Bartowski, Chuck)
taughtbymimzy - (Emma Wilder, The Last Mimzy) [retired]
worldstraveler - (Penelope Tessler, OC) [retired]

ooc: May I ask for a tiny favor?
Apr. 17th, 2008 11:48 amSo hi! I'm back on-line. (Rather jetlagged at the moment. Had a fun time, but we packed way too much in. I almost need a vacation from the vacation. ^^;)
Anywho...um. So I started looking at the flist and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I dunno if honestly I'll be able to catch up with the backlog so...
I was wondering...since I may accidentally miss something...
If there is a post that you would like the mun/muse (or both) to read, could you please reply here with a link? Thanks so much!

Apr. 8th, 2008 06:59 amHey all. I'm going to be heading to the west coast for a week. (The muse may live in California, but the mun lives on the east coast. *g*)
I'll be in Vegas for a couple of days and then visiting a family friend in California.
I'm leaving early tomorrow morning so I may catch up on a couple replies after work before I go. I should be back on-line sometime on the 17th. (My flight home gets in rather late on the 16th.)
Feel free to reply to this and leave a note of any threads I'll need to tag back when I'm on-line again.
Take care and see you in a week!

The Captain could use some cheering up
Apr. 5th, 2008 11:49 pm Memphis - 78, UCLA - 63
Captain Awesome has been staring at the TV screen dumbfounded. His alma mater lost in the Final Four game today. So, uh, he's not taking it too well.
Any suggestions to cheer him up?

My Personality
I dunno....single minded and obsessed in my work? Well, I mean, I don't like to slack off or anything but I don't see myself, you know, being chained to my desk or anything...

You very rarely feel depressed and are usually in a good frame of mind, however you experience panic, confusion, and helplessness when under pressure or stress. You get overwhelmed by too much noise and commotion and do not like thrill-seeking activities. You prefer familiar routines and for things to stay the same. You can tend to feel uncomfortable with change. You do not like to claim that you are better than other people, and generally shy from talking yourself up, however you do not enjoy confrontation, but you will stand up for yourself or push your point if you feel it is important. You strive hard to achieve excellence. Your drive to be recognized as successful keeps you on track toward your lofty goals. You often have a strong sense of direction in life, but may sometimes be too single-minded and obsessed with your work. |

TM #223 - "I swear I didn't put those..."
Mar. 22nd, 2008 11:37 pm"I swear I didn't put those Easter baskets in the kids' bedrooms," I remember my mother saying to my Dad.
This was Easter morning when I was eight years old. My mother had spied me with a ring of milk chocolate around my lips.
"Chuck sweetie?" she began.
"Mmm?" I answered, still with a bite of chocolate bunny in my mouth.
"Did you wake up early and get your Easter basket?"
I first tried to shake my head, but she shot me a look that basically said, "I know you did." So I nodded sadly.
"How did you find it?" she asked.
"Well," I began, feeling guilty, "Last year you hid our baskets in the towel closet. And the year before that, you hid them in the kitchen cupboards. So...um...Ellie and I looked in the towel closet and then in the kitchen cupboards. And then we found them. And you and Dad were still asleep and we uh...well, helped ourselves."
"Your sister found her basket too?" my mother asked. I could tell by what she said that she already knew, but I think she wanted me to confess this fact.
I nodded and my Dad went into Ellie's room.
My mother shook her head. "Chuck, you and Ellie were supposed to wait for us to wake up before you got your baskets. I'm very disappointed in you."
I bowed my head.
"Hand over your basket," my mom commanded, holding her right hand out.
I timidly handed the basket over. Most of the candy was still in it, but the chocolate bunny was currently headless.
"You and Ellie won't get any candy for the rest of the day."
I sighed.
"Now c'mon," she said, motioning for me to follow. "Let's get you cleaned up."
And as I stood in the bathroom while my mother washed the chocolate off my face, I heard Ellie scream, "You tattled, Chuck!" and growl before storming off in a huff.
Despite getting caught, it still was a good Easter though. Ellie, my Dad, my mother and I went out for dinner at nice restaurant. My Dad wasn't around much, so it was great for the four of us to be together.
Sadly, this isn't possible anymore...
