Halloween Party (open RP)

Chuck donned his ren faire ruffled shirt and vest once again. Although he would eventually break into the Sandworm costume, he thought to have something costume-ish on in the meantime.

The courtyard outside Chuck and Ellie's apartment was decorated with Halloween lights and spooky decorations. Music played as costumed guests mingled with one another while a couple were helping themselves to the snacks and punch set up on a table at the edge of the courtyard.

Chuck grinned.

"Aw, he looks adorable. And your costume is very nice too." Chuck blinked a bit when asked about the Sandworm costume. "Oh...no, I mean, we're a bit old to be trick-treating. We just wear it for the Haloween party."

"He is the cuter of the two, as it should be. I can safely and objectively say that he is the cutest kid in that town, a title he holds with pride." Grinning she shrugs, "there were some older people trick or treating around the neighborhood. Plus dressed up like that, who can tell how old you are?"

"As he should," Chuck replied with a smile.

He then shakes his head. "Even so, we're too old and it's a huge costume to run around in."

"That's why I like you, Chuck you support my notions of grandeur." With a giggle she cocked her head to the side and thought about it.

"I can see it now: 'Giant sandworm terrorizes L.A. where is Paul Atreides when you need him?'. It probably wouldn't make the front page, but there's insane competition around here."

"Sure...why not?"

Chuck laughed. "No, given this is LA, we'd be probably like nearly the back page. But we're probably the only Sandworm with four legs."

"Because you don't want to encourage bad behavior?"

Salome laughed with him and grinned, "you mean there was more then one sandworm around here?"

"And supporting delusions of grandeur is...bad?" he joked.

"Since we're in LA, I wouldn't doubt there's one out there with either no legs or maybe like two legs." He was joking once again.

"Well it's all fun and games until I develop a death ray and hold the whole world hostage so I can become despotic rule of the universe." She told him in a sing song voice.

Sobering up for a moment she gave him a look, "It's like Tremors all over. Can you imagine those big old things trying to get through LA traffic?"

"So you won't give up for say," he then continued in his best Dr. Evil voice, "One hundred billion dollars?"

He then laughed. "Why go through it when you can go under it?"

Laughing, she clapped her hands. "No, wait, maybe, that's really tempting. I don't need any more responsibilities."

Giggling she nodded, "Eureka! Either go below or above, that will work."

"Running a whole universe would be a lot of responsible. Even moreso than 'Emperor of the Known Universe,' which Morgan has joked I could be someday."

"Exactly!"

"See, I figure that job might kill me, even if I do appoint like a million people do to my various jobs. Plus I really don't want to run against you, because I think you have better qualifications then me." Grinning she turned her head and coughed lightly into her hand.

"Excuse me. Is Morgan here, I always hear stories but never see him . . . Oh! What about the Major?! I need to tackle him."

Chuck laughed. "I don't even know how you can get such a job. And besides, I wouldn't wanna like terrorize anyone to get that job. Just not me."

He then shook his head. "Morgan's not here yet. But Casey should be around here somewhere..."

ooc: Maybe I can find Morgan!mun to join us but I don't see the muse around too too often.

"Maybe you inherit it, or you are pulled from a lottery and all of a sudden you are God of the universe! I am not sure if that would be a cool thing or the worst job in the world yet."

Steeples her fingers and then wiggles them deviously. "Excellent! Sometimes I feel bad for the Major, and then - I don't."

ooc: It's okay, I think I've seen him once in one of your threads.

"It would be a pretty tough one, that's for sure. Maybe aliens come to get me and make me their leader and stuff. And then other aliens just follow their lead..." He grinned and shrugged.

"Oh?"

ooc: Yeah...I wish he'd be around more often. It's fun when Chuck and Morgan get to play.

"So you don't actually rule, you are just a figure head? Mmmm, that might work, oh you could be like Queen Elizabeth! Do you think that would be really satisfying?"

Giggles and then shrugs, "he's a big kid, he can take care of himself. I don't think he'll break me. Maybe."

ooc: Awh yeah, I hate it when that happens!

"I think I'd have to do something. I dunno. I'd have to ask Morgan how Emperor of the Known Universe works."

"Probably not on purpose, at least." He then laughed.

"Clearly there should be rules and laws laid out to avoid such messes. I mean you could just sit around and look pretty."

Groaning she looked over her shoulder nervously. "That's a little unsettling."

"Yeah...on a throne of multi-colored light.

"I was just kidding."

Casey approached Salome and Chuck. He was wearing a beige t-shirt and camouflage pants. There were dogtags around his neck as well.

"You tackled me once. Why do you need to do it again?"

Damn Casey and his ability to move silently, she jumped when he came up behind her and laughed.

Turning she bounced and tackled him, wrapping her arms around him in a hug. "Because I missed you, Major!"

At least this time, the tackle-hug-pounce didn't knock him over. But it did make him go "Oof!" as Salome jumped into him.

"I...see," he said blinking a bit. "Hello again to you too."

"Hello, Major Casey, I trust you are well." Grinning she finally let go of him and found her footing on the floor. Fixing her dress she offered him a bouquet of yellow and white flowers.

"For you, they are happiness flowers."

Casey nodded. "I'm fine. You?"

He took the flowers and cocked his head slightly. "Happiness flowers, huh?"

Shrugged a little bit, "School work has sucked out my brain and replaced me with a pod person. The usual."

She nodded seriously. "Yes, the water maiden comes out of the water and where she steps flowers bloom and those flowers will bring people good luck and happiness."
