OOC: Chuck meets Heroes

Came across this interview with Zachary Levi and Adam Baldwin. There's a section where Zach talks about the idea of such a crossover.

Kinda funny...some of it is kinda on the lines of what some us muns discussed. *g*

I'd think that would be fun if NBC ever did it since I like both shows.

I get what Zach's saying about how there could be a difference of the tone of the show, but if it was a sorta 'Company wants to use Chuck for their own purposes' plot, that could keep in the Heroes dramatic tone, I think.

Bwahahahahaaha!! Well, we know Chuck has a weakness for blondes. So, Elle would be perfect for trying to "recruit" Chuck into the Company. Of course, then there'd be Claire trying to save him. (And Chuck would be one happy boy to see 2 pretty blondes fighting over him.)

[identity profile] valrichards.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Bob has an entire harem of blondes that he uses for such occasions. But he'd like it if you didn't mention Claire, he's still upset she didn't get to join it.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
I'll bet he does! Of course, Bob had better never tell Ando about it or he might just lure him over to the dark side.

[identity profile] valrichards.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
You've just given Bob the key to capturing Hiro. Get Ando involved!

Bad Bob. *whack him with stick*

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
*Hiro hands you a stick. Then the obligatory trout.*

Chigau! I won't let you or your evil blondes ever turn Ando to the dark side of The Force!

[identity profile] itsjustbob.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
*Bob says that trouts hurt. He's also glaring at you.*

I don't know where you got the impression that we're evil, Hiro. We're simply doing what's best for everyone. Sometimes certain measures are required for the greater good.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
*Hiro is considering getting a trout of his own.*

*Hiro growls. And that sword of his is looking awful pointy.*

[identity profile] itsjustbob.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
*Bob can sell you a golden trout. He has one hidden away in a filing cabinet somewhere.*

*Bob slowly walks away. He really does not want to be stabbed. Being stabbed by a comic book geek? Even worse! I resent that, Bob.*

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
*Hiro looks at gold trout. He thinks it will look nice on his wall. Right next to Bob's head.*

Hiro agrees with you!

*Hiro's honor has been impugned by the nasty Company man.*

An entire harem would just leave poor Chuck totally stunned. Hell, he'd just need...2. Then that's it. Poor Chuck would be speechless. *g*

But yeah, I can see Claire would be a touchy subject for Bob and all. Plus she's a little young and Casey would smack him saying something like, "Keep your eyes off her. You want Dateline at your door?" ;)

[identity profile] itsjustbob.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
That's the effect Bob's going for, "We have blondes, and Angela. If the blondes don't convince him, Angela will scare him into our hands." Because, you know, it's completely true.

HAHA! Dateline really needs to show up to somebody's door. *coughsBOBcoughs* :P

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Oh she would! "That Angela lady is creepy. I think she's a demon or something. No seriously, Sarah...I haven't watched one too many sci-fi movies. She's that creepy."

Heh. Yeah, I think Dateline would should up at Bob's door.

And maybe even at Matt/Mohinder's place. Two grown men with a little girl living with them... *giggles*

[identity profile] itsjustbob.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Bob agrees! He doesn't watch the sci-fi (anymore), but she has to be a demon. Or at least a hell spawn of some sort.

The really should. This other muse in my head is going "I TOLD YOU I WAS ON TO HIM! WHY DOES NOBODY LISTEN TO MEEEE! He stares, and it's wrong!" *pushes her back to her corner*

HAHA! That wouldn't be good for anyone. Run M3 run! They want to tear you apart!

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah. Some sort of devil/demon spawn. *g*

*snerk* Don't you just love when your muses go after each other? ;)
But yeah, that would be a fun crack!fic. Cuz seriously, Dateline now is all these 'to catch the really creepy sickos of the world' stuff.

I guess there weren't enough exploding SUVs left in the world. *g*

No, it wouldn't. But seriously, there would be a ton of questions. 'So...how did you exactly gain legal custody of this girl?' I mean, yeah...we know Molly's parents are dead, but nobody in her family claimed her? Or wonders where she is? Maybe she's really that lonely of a girl.

That's kinda sad really...now that I think about it.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
*lol*

Of course, Chuck doesn't just like blondes. He liked Lou a lot and she was a brunette. *g*

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
That's true. But we all know who he really likes. Poor Chuck. Casey would bend him like a pretzel if he ever found out...

Bad slasher! Bad!

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
So you're a Chuck/Casey slasher, huh? I dunno...I see Awesome with Casey...or at least REALLY trying.

But that's just me. *g*

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
Surprisingly, I haven't really thought about it. Although, thinking about it, Awesome/Casey would definitely work. I could, also, see Chuck/Bryce (but after Bryce comes back).

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
The Thanksgiving dinner scene had its moments. But again, just maybe me there.

Oh that would be weird putting those two together. At least to me.

Of course in my head, Chuck turns on a dime on how he feels about Bryce. He respects some things about him but still has some moments where he wishes he could have a free shot and punch him.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, the Thanksgiving dinner was a hoot!

I think that's why I see it with Chuck and Bryce. There's a respect each of them have for the other, but there's still the very sore spot between them. Makes for more angst (which is rather strange to think about for "Chuck").

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes I think Awesome needs to be on more. *g*

Angst yes, definitely. Not so weird the show has it since it's not a straight up comedy. At least to me. If you got dramatic elements, angst sorta shows up.

There are a couple spots I think with Chuck towards Bryce. While he knows why Bryce got him kicked out of Stanford, Bryce doesn't (or shouldn't) know that Chuck knows the truth. And yet, he never attempted to defend or say anything to address that when Chuck called him out on it.

And of course, there's the love triangle with Sarah. Plus Bryce was a bit cold with the whole 'you live with your sister?' That he said he was sorry for at least.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2007-12-20 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Awesome kills me.

That's true. There is enough drama that angst isn't too completely out of place (as opposed to say "Scrubs").

I always felt that Bryce felt relieved that Chuck knew. That it was something had bothered him since the day it happened.

Ah yes, OT3 - Chuck/Bryce/Sarah...

It's kinda hard to go from being a near-genius at Stanford to being the head of the Nerd Herd and Bryce has to feel horrible seeing what's happened to Chuck because of what he's done.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2007-12-21 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Right, right. Sometimes on 'Scrubs' they'd get a little too dramatic and it would seem out of place. At least to me.

But I don't think Bryce knows that Chuck knows the truth about why he was kicked out of Stanford. Because when Bryce is outside Chuck's apartment and asks to talk to Sarah, Chuck says flat out to Bryce, "You got me kicked out of Stanford" in a rather cold tone. Bryce doesn't say anything about it and Chuck doesn't say something to the effect of "you might have had good intentions though."

So part of me thinks Bryce doesn't know that Chuck knows. But it's hard to say.

Yeah, definite OT3.

I think you're right about Bryce feeling bad about what he did though but I think it took some time for Bryce to understand the repercussions of what he did first.

The show never explained why Chuck couldn't get a better job than the one he has now. But my thought is the background checks companies do really hurt Chuck's chances. Maybe they came back with 'expelled' as the reason for not completing the degree, you know?
