OOC: Chuck meets Heroes

Came across this interview with Zachary Levi and Adam Baldwin. There's a section where Zach talks about the idea of such a crossover.

Kinda funny...some of it is kinda on the lines of what some us muns discussed. *g*

I'd think that would be fun if NBC ever did it since I like both shows.

I get what Zach's saying about how there could be a difference of the tone of the show, but if it was a sorta 'Company wants to use Chuck for their own purposes' plot, that could keep in the Heroes dramatic tone, I think.

I think...you know, it's kinda there in everyone. The potential to be evil, I mean.

Yeah. Going to be with my parents and my brother her in Massachusetts on Christmas Day. The day after, I'm going to Connecticut. And Saturday (or Sunday depending on the weather) I'm going to Vermont. Plus for work, we have forced overtime for the week due to the end coming up. Bit of a crunch with people wanting to put in/take out money into their accounts as needed for tax reporting and whatnot. Fun. What about you?

Wow! The whirlwind tour! Hopefully the snow doesn't hit too hard up there. Yeah, I can see where working with other peoples' money that this would be a tough time of year. Along with April...I've got 2 4-day weekends. Work 3 days, then have holidays. Otherwise, will be home. Not going anywhere.

I know. I was too. *g* But we entered all our time off requests into the database, and it let me do it so...that week is mine. Probably gonna do a Vegas/California trip then.

I appeared in Japan over 300 years ago after Sylar tried to kill me. I interefered with the life of a man who called himself Takezo Kensei. He was a gaijin...foreignor. He was a legendary swordsman who saved Japan and I found a drunkard. I had to get him to change, to become a hero, fall in love with the sword-maker's daughter and save Japan. I did too well. Unfortunately, I fell in love with her, too, and she me. He caught us kissing and due my betrayal almost destroyed Japan's history. I stopped him, but it cost him his life. I took his kabuto...it should be here. It was in my arms when I left the past.

Maybe...you know...without you knowing it, that was how it happened originally? I mean...what if time was in a loop like that? The story you knew...maybe what you did was already taken into account in the present day.

But...it's tough to know. Time is a strange thing.

What did he do after he caught you kissing the sword maker's daughter? Whatever it was must have been something that affected many people. I mean...again, if it's okay to ask.

It may be so, but I think I must have left earlier. I almost left them right after he defeated the 90 angry ronin, but then I suddenly decided not to. I wonder if the future me stopped then. It may be that I was meant to be there, but not as long as I stayed.

Yaeko's father, the swordsmith, was forced to build guns for White Beard's army. There were no guns in Japan until modern times, so many guns as had been made, it would have destroyed Japan's history. Kensei turned me over to White Beard because they knew I had the power to stop them. They made me breathe in opium to keep me confused. Fortunately, Yaeko was very clever and escaped her bonds and freed me and her father. I went back to destroy the guns, fought Kensei. I managed to set the gunpowder on fire and begged him to come with me. He refused so I escaped alone. White Beard's camp was destroyed. I found his kabuto in the wreckage. I could not let him destroy Japan, but he was my friend.

Maybe. Unless...you had second thoughts cuz of the way things were going?

But, wow...that's...I dunno what to say. I mean, it's...kinda sad that he turned out to, well kinda be a traitor and all. But...it must have been tough since, you know, he was your friend.

Perhaps. But I thought that history was going the way it was supposed to. Kensei and Yaeko seemed to be in love with each other and I had told Kensei all the stories, so he knew what to do next. I just felt reluctant not to be there.

Japan was not his country. I am not certain you could call him a traitor. But he was upset and angry with me and that made him do bad things. I betrayed him first.

I am sorry as well. I would not have wished things to end so badly.

It really is hard to lose a friend...especially one you trusted a lot. I...well, don't have many either and when Bry- *stops himself* Uh, never mind.

Several months ago I lived not only in Japan, but also in Texas. However, I cannot be where I am. I could not go back to Texas and try to save Charlie again. My future self told Peter Petrelli this.

Well...you see...Bryce was a friend I met in college. He and I were pretty close until our senior year. And, well, then, for some reason he told a professor of mine I cheated on an exam. I didn't cheat, but the professor believed him...and I got expelled.

But it does not work that way if I move forward. Only backwards. So, my future self could not be with me in the past, but I could be with him in the future.

Charlie was a very nice girl. She and I worked together. I went back in time to save her life, but I failed.

How could he do that to you?

I...wish I knew. I confronted him about it and he said I brought it on myself. I have no idea why. I never could get a straight answer from him.

I guess in moving forward, I move with the space-time continuum so it does not have the same kinds of consequences as moving back.

I wish I could have saved her. She was sweet and funny. We would have fun getting drunk and making fun of infomercials. Watch bad movies. I had never seen "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" before.

I have no idea how I could have brought it on myself. He wouldn't say why and then, well, I didn't talk to him after I had to leave Stanford.

When my future self came back to the past, he didn't contact me. He contacted someone else.

We managed to see one episode of "Mystery Science Theatre 3000". The movie was so awful! But we laughed so hard.

Oh yeah, all the episodes are like that. Probably 'Manos: The Hands of Fate' is the worst movie they've shown though.

He...yeah, he is. *nods sadly* He was a bank manager and...well, he was killed during a robbery attempt. Even with all he did, part of me...well, I decided to go to his funeral after all.

It depends on whether or not you believe in more than one universe. We created a new one, but the other one still continues. My future self is dead, though. It was very disturbing to see.
