TM #386 - Do you have children? If not, do you want them one day?

[Locked to those who know of his secret life.]

I don't have any children now. I do wonder what it would be like to have them someday though. But, the spy life...I've seen what's done to my family. Both my parents were part of it and both of them were not part of the lives for my sister and I for several years.

Because of the spy life, I honestly thought they abandoned us only to find out, that wasn't quite true. Especially my mom. My mom even had to lie to me to keep her cover in tact when we found her.

So what happens if Sarah and I have kids? Would we be able to be with them? Would missions call us away for months or years on end? I don't know. Plus, there's always the risk that they would be in danger. What would we have to pretend to keep covers and keep them safe?

I guess the short answer is 'I don't know.' It's a decision with a lot to think about, that's for sure.

*Chuck continues to demonstrate* You're doing pretty good, Hiro!

I think if I did not know how to line dance it would be much harder. I am not exactly well-coordinated.

It is definitely a lot like a line dance.

Quite true. Even though the steps are different, it is definitely a line dance.

This part we're stepping backwards instead of to the side.

So we first step back with right foot. Then step back with left foot.

Then step back with right foot. And finally step back with the left and then close the feet together,

*Hiro is ok, until the feet cross and then he nearly falls on his face.* I think I need work on that one.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-06-13 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Think of it as the first part, only going backwards instead of sideways.

I am not the most coordinated of people. It took me a while to get used to line dancing, too. I was always behind or moving the wrong way.

Don't worry...so was I when I first learned these group dances.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-06-13 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
But they are great for parties.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
The Robot, too. Molly and I had a lot of fun dancing that.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, that's a fun one too!

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
I don't mind dancing now. Except for...dancing with spies that are trying to kill me.

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
I can understand why that would not be fun. Dancing is about fun, not killing people.

Yes, and the Tango should not be a matter of life and death!

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Of course, that was one of my first missions...

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
I would assume that. Unless you made her very angry, I cannot see Sarah doing that to you.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, I was dancing with an arms dealer, La Ciudad. And I was taught the tango by Captain Awesome...only...he taught me the girl's part...

[identity profile] powered-otaku.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
*For a second, Hiro manages to keep his face straight, but then he snickers.* It would not do you well to know the woman's part of such a dance.

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2011-06-14 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
I thought I told you that story. Guess not.

But...it was, um...embarrassing to say the least. Cuz you're right, that's the type of dance where you need to know the guy's part.
