Also, BuddyTV has a couple voting contesting going on here where you can vote for your favorite TV couple in a set of multiple showdowns. Chuck and Sarah are of course one of the nominated couples. :)

And, I finally got around to properly tagging all Chuck's entries with the proper verse information and whatnot.

I saw this on Jack's blog and he got it from someone else.

So back about 19 years ago, I met Morgan. He had one of those plastic Kenner light sabers which, well, were not much more than a flashlight with a colored tube at the end.

But when you're 9, and a total Star Wars geek, they are the coolest toys...ever.

I had one too and Morgan and I would sometimes reenact scenes from the movies. But all too often, we would roam the neighborhood with our light sabers, pretending we were two Jedis.

The neighborhood was filled with many imaginary enemies that we would have to duel to complete...well, whatever mission we dreamed up for that particular day. Rescue missions were pretty popular ideas for us.

Some kids would look at us like we were totally crazy or losers or whatever. But we didn't care all that much. We just thought it would be a lot of fun to live the life of a Jedi...even if it was just the stuff of overactive fan boy imaginations.

So yeah, if anyone asked if I wanted to live the life of a fictional character, I didn't always choose a particular one. But I often pretended to live in a world that was completely fictional when I was younger.

That counts, right?

To whom it may concern,

During the Showcase round on today's show (air date 12/23/2008), a water resistant laptop was featured as one of the prizes a contestant could win. Not only did your announcer tell viewers that the laptop had this feature, but to demonstrate this fact, one of the models poured a beaker of water over the laptop's keyboard - twice.

Then the laptop was taken to another model sitting in a hot tub...thing. (Dunno what exactly that was called, but anyway...) The model proceeded to take the laptop and submerse the keyboard into the water before pretending to type on it with her sud covered hands.

While I get the point the models were trying to illustrate, I would like to take a moment to point out that the laptop was water resistant and not water proof. The laptop, should it have been the actual product, could have shorted out. And bathing with electronics is NEVER a good idea.

After watching today's show, one customer attempted to take his laptop in the bathtub and now I have one shorted out laptop to fix. And I'm sure others who work in the tech support sector, as I do, had to deal with the same issue today at least once.

Just saying...someone could really get hurt if they tried to bathe with their laptop, okay?

I don't understand why our father left us. It's been eleven years, but I still don't know why. Or why he stopped communicating with us. I mean...at least we'd hear from him on Christmas and our birthdays but...then...nothing.

It took me a long time to cope with that. To stop blaming myself.

At least I have a couple good memories of him. I mean, he did try to teach me to cook once. Granted, he really couldn't, but the fact he tried was nice. And the day he gave me his suit. Again, a nice gesture since I really didn't have anything like that that fit me then. I actually still have that suit too.

And despite all the fact he walked out on us, I still would like to see him again. Ellie said she hoped someday our father would walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. Well, now that she's engaged, I'm going to try to find him.

She had no special plans for her big day except for that. I'm going to try to make that dream come true for her.

I dunno how exactly. All I have is an old birthday card with a phone number scribbled in it that's been since disconnected. But the area code of the number is Las Vegas. Wonder if he's still in that area...
