TM #243 - Olympics
If you could be in the Olympics (summer or winter), what event/sport would you want to do most? Why?
Could you honestly see me at the Olympics? I can't run that fast, I can't swim that great, and I sure as hell can't flip and stuff. And riding a bobsled or luge sled seems pretty scary. I've been skiing, but not enough to call myself an expert by any means.
So, unless there is a Wii Olympics? I'm not seeing myself there.
(By the way, did you know if you play the Wii Sports training games, you can earn medals? I have earned a couple that way, actually. Those training games are kinda fun though they do get harder as they go along.)
But anyway...
Captain Awesome on the other hand - now he maybe would have some sort of shot at competing. He's in great shape and is always running and stuff. If he tries out and makes it, maybe Ellie and I can go to London in 2012 and see him compete.
The way I see it...if I'm at the Olympics, I'd be watching the games, not competing in them.

OOC: Kudos!
Name a hand full of people you RP with, read, or have heard of. Say something positive, a reason why you like their characters, or the players. Anything that is constructive, positive, and better than the general: ♥!!

TM #242 - Write about a time that you were the bearer of bad news.
Telling Ellie I was expelled comes to mind.
I couldn't believe it and neither could she. There wasn't much I wanted to say over the phone only that I really didn't do it and for her to come get me. And she drove the over five hours to come get me too - pretty much right after she hung up. Or she drove like hell to get here...maybe a little of both.
We stayed a ways outside of Stanford that night. It was just too long of a drive in the dark. Not that we don't drive at night, I mean, we both were feeling kinda depressed and definitely wouldn't be alert enough for such a long drive.
So in the hotel room, I explained to her everything I knew. How Bryce told me "you brought this on yourself." (Whatever the hell that meant.) How there were stolen test booklets under my bed in my dorm room and how I was accused of selling those things.
She tried to console the best she could. I think she even offered to try to clear my name with the dean. But that wouldn't have worked. Professor Fleming, who taught the class that I was accused of cheating in, sent his report to the dean with all the 'evidence' and that was that.
I kinda feel that's the one life event that's held me back. I mean, companies don't like to hire people expelled for cheating.
Still, part of me hopes that someday my name will be cleared and I can finish those last few credits.
But...until then, I'm probably stuck working for the Nerd Herd.
[Locked to Sarah]
I know Bryce had good intentions and all from that file we saw. And...I sorta like a total ass for hating him as long as I did for that.
I hate to sound kinda ungrateful or whatever but...think maybe someday someone can sorta know I didn't cheat? I mean...I get it. The truth wouldn't be quite told to the non-CIA folks but maybe some sorta cover story-
*pauses*
Y-you know what...never mind. Forget I asked. [/unlocked]

Writer's Block: The Best Invention
[Error: unknown template qotd]
Wow, tough question. I mean...the computer is probably the best all around item ever. You can play games, communicate with people, get your news from all over the world...
And pretty much lock yourself away from civilization for a little while.

Comic-Con (open RP)
ooc: This post is open to everyone. It's complete bendy time too. Feel free to drop by, chat with one another and have fun!
The San Diego convention center was filled with all sorts of exhibits, panels and vendors selling all sorts of collectibles. There seemed to be so much to do and tons of events worth seeing.
"I'm finally here," Chuck commented out loud to no one in particular.

Finally got around to this stuff...
I added IC and OOC contact posts as well as bio for Chuck. (I backdated the contact posts so as not to spam the flist. They're linked to on the Profile page.)
His IC screen name is EchoParkChuck if anyone would like chat with him too. (I tried to get nerdherdchuck for him to match his LJ name but, someone already took it.)

TM #239 - Hair
You know, I was talking to Randy about how weird this topic was and how I had no idea what to say in response to it. I kinda mentioned to him that I remembered seeing a hairy guy sitting at pool that looked like a Wookiee in a speedo but that's probably not something people wanna read about.
[Locked to those who know of his secret life] Don't worry, I didn't mention who the guy was or why we were at his house or anything. And Randy didn't ask any other questions so I left it at that. [/unlocked]
So then I started thinking and I remembered one time when my sister Ellie said something weird about my hair. Granted, she was poisoned by some nut case then so...yeah, it was like she was really drunk or high at the time.
Anyway, Ellie said that I needed a haircut because my hair was "making funny animal shapes." I dunno even know how hair can do that. But it was kinda...I dunno...all over the place, I guess. Maybe that's what she meant. Cuz if she was actually seeing like silhouettes of animals in my hair...well, yeah, she was kinda gone at the time, right?
So, uh...well...that's all I can think of to say for this topic.

Memories Meme From Around
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want--good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

TM #237 - It's your birthday!
My birthday last year was...kinda on the awkward side. My sister Ellie had only invited one of my friends - just Morgan. The rest of the guests were female friends of hers and the hope was that I'd take an interest in one of them.
So uh...this year....I kinda hope I get to plan my own birthday.
I dunno what I'd do really. I mean...birthdays were a bigger deal when I was a kid. There was a whole theme to it and stuff. If you couldn't be one of those lucky kids that could have their birthday parties at the cool places or have a bouncy castle in your backyard, you better have planned some cool activities.
I mostly just had some party games and a couple videos to watch and the kids wore like Star Wars party hats or something.
Nothing special.
Anyway...back to this year...
Maybe...instead of a party, we could just have a nice dinner somewhere instead. Keep things small. I don't really need anything fancy, you know?

A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
B) Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.
Okay so Casey and Murphy had pretty much the same meme but like a couple different questions so...I answered both.
